I'm confused. The description of this lockbox says it's all about the classic movie era, but that's clearly not the case when the only things in the box from that era are a space weapon, one or two ground weapons, and one environmental suit. The three Dreadnought ships are TOS era, not TMP. Is there more yet to be announced that fits the stated era? Because don't get me wrong, those new TOS ships are freaking gorgeous and I will never complain about new TOS content but it's a bit sad for me as a huge fan of the movie era to see something that says it's about that era but most of its content is not from that era.
Is there a single ship from the movie era in the box at all?
Yep they do look like TOS ships and not TMP ships but im guessing they could of been brought into service at the same time just the designs where outdated by the time they rolled out the yard?
They still had the Miranda class floating around on TNG and DS9. By the TNG era that thing would have been like driving a Model T but I don't think there was ever much reference to it being so outdated.
I can't read anything with news in the header from work.
ToS Dreads? 3 of them? Is that one per faction or three types of fed? IE sci, tac, eng.
3 dreads TOS timeline 1 per faction FED,Kling,Rom no details other than the mastery traits and some cool pictures, Also NX refit (escort) announced and its a lobi store ship fed side only.
I really hope the Experimental Environmental Suit includes a costume unlock. I want to wear that as an outfit but I still want to use the ground armor of my choice.
In the immortal words of Captain Sisko: "It may not be what you believe, but that doesn't make it wrong."
Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.

Unclear if they were still in production during TNG or DS9 or if they had just produced a TRIBBLE ton during TMP era, but it's pretty safe to say that many of them were most likely refit and upgraded with more advanced technology over the years. I could still see these ships being useful inside federation space as transports, planetary security, even armed cargo carriers. Random jobs that you don't need a heavily armed cruiser to do. We also saw on DS9 that the U.S.S. Centaur (A Miranda variant-at least in sto) was being used to patrol the border between federation and dominion space so it must have been capable enough...at least against other frigate sized ships.

I'd imagine it's the same concept as any other refit. They rip out all the innards and fill it with smaller, but more powerful, new tech that does the job far better. Easier just to reuse a hull you already have that's sitting around than building another one, especially with Starfleet liking the whole "modular" design that would most likely make it easier.
TMP EV suits, TWoK EV suits, TMP variant uniforms, TWoK admiral uniforms, the TWoK dil uniforms, a T6 Centaur, Miranda, Antares, or Raging Queen, K'T'inga, Kronos One, a TUC Klingon guards uniform, Chang, Gorkon, or Azetbur's uniforms, Vixis or Klaas uniforms.
I'm not complaining where they've gone here (I want those ground weapons) but there's so much more, and more thematically linked stuff that could have gone in instead of those TOS ships and costumes and the ENT Lobi ship.
I'm also not supporting any faction items in Lockboxes, that goes for Temporal, KT, TOS or TWoK era stuff.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The inclusion of a fez makes this automatically one of the best lockboxes they've ever released.

T6 Miranda is about the only movie-era ship I could see them still needing to do. Give it a new skin, call it the Reliant class and let it use the T1 Miranda skins.

Back on topic, are there any movie-era ships in the box or potential for any to be added? Who else is interested in seeing some? If so, which ones? And would you be interested in seeing "Refit" skins added to existing Cryptic original TOS ships? I would personally be more interested in buying some of those ships should a Refit skin be added to them or made available to purchase, and I think others would agree that a T6 Miranda is long overdue.
nope none in the box, and imo too late for any to be added.
would love more movie era ships, personally I kinda liked the Chandley class from FASA's material.
hell yes would love movie era skins for TOS ships
couldn't care less about t6 miranda but also would not be opposed to it showing up
Yeah, I call shenanigans on that "ships, weapons, and more which would feel right at home on the set of The Wrath of Khan, The Undiscovered Country, and all the beloved original Star Trek films."
Which sucks, because I LOVE the movie-era aesthetic, and would love to see new/original designs made for that era.
I wonder if somebody told the art staff "The original crew film era" and they just heard "TOS" and by the time anybody realized the mistake, assets had been made.

Yeah I collect them too, but I ignore lockbox achievements. How many accolade points you got?

Romulan ship not so keen on, but I love the Rom Ships I have, so no biggie there.
Been saving up EC, but not very sure what for, this may make me quite happy. But like I said I want some more views of that Klingon ship.
God, it feels like playing Starfleet Academy on the SNES.
Ship size/behavior should work. Interest should be in all these ships. And on top of it that lockbox would all of the sudden be true to its name
Also its in line with the T6 TOS Constitution which from what I heard can use the movie Constitution skin.
check out the forum thread with the video of them, great shots of all 3
