What, they're just letting 2410 pass without so much as a mention of the Nexus? That was the big canonical event of 2410, and nothing?
They don't need to mention every one-shot plot device that ever was. That's a sign of bad fanfiction. Generations said all that needed to be said about the nexus.
If they did anything Generations-related, let them retcon Kirk's death instaead.
We have now officially passed the 2 year mark for the timeline of in-game events.
Also some fun facts
-They considered making a Delta Rising mission dealing with the Voyager episode threshold. But it got cut because they couldn't weave it into the story.
-GECKO himself compared the novelverse Tzenkethi with kif from Futurama
-PVP and Crafting are the two biggest things they are looking at in terms of revamps
Wow, do I actually see PvP mentioned? I must be dreaming.
I'm excited that its finally 2411 in game; but tbh it should be something like 2430 at this point...so much stuff has happened in-game...feels like 20 years no 2 lol
Tell me about it the Iconion war should have lasted most of 2010 if not more imo

Besides what's been said by others, the fact that any new content that takes place after the last episode will be set in 2411, doesn't mean that they can't make an episode at some point in the future that's set in 2410. They could just fit it in somewhere in an older arc if necessary.

Well it lasted a while... I forgot which episode it was, but I think one of the Dyson Sphere episodes brought us into 2410? Surface Tension maybe?
Then there's the Delta Quadrant arc, which could last... I don't know, several months at most? There weren't many large engagements with the Vaadwaur, it was mostly visiting potential allies. The actual research on their (still unbelievable imo) quick revival so to say was only a handful of episodes, followed by a plan to expose their leadership. And then the final assault.
I think there's a source somewhere that the Iconian War lasted at least 6 months... this would seem reasonable and doable if most of the Delta Quadrant conflict was ended in 3 months or less.
Since most of the war was just Iconians and Heralds attacking out of nowhere, instead of large battles to control specific systems etc. like we saw with the Dominion War. Whatever fleet movement there was, it was likely either reinforcements when an attack occured (only to arrive too late in most instances probably) and the attacks ordered by Captain Kagran. There were no other prolonged fights over territory, that wouldn't make sense as the Iconians would try to utilise their important advantages of striking when no one expects it and then disappear again.
The only thing that really took and had to take a long time was the temporal research being carried out. But there's no reason why this would have to take the remainder of 2410 (from the end of the Delta Quadrant arc onwards).
The Iconian War could thus have ended a few months before the end of 2410, say November, possibly even October 2410. If anything needs to be temporally replaced, it would have been the temporal war and everything that lead to it. Edit: Also considering that there had to be something of a rebuild effort in-between these conflicts. So maybe those things should have already brought us into 2411.
Honestly, I have a lot of problems with the timeline, especially considering everything that happened (not just on a large scale, but also to our characters) in 2409 and possibly with the 2411 thing that I'd argue is a bit late to arrive... but the Iconian War itself (rebuilding probably should have taken more time) was actually one of the more reasonable things in terms of how long it seems to have taken.

Actually, according to the Delta Recruit stuff, the end of the Breen Arc happened 18 months after the tutorial, in June 2410.
While they didn't mention it until much later, the switch between 2409, and 2410, happened before even the Breen Arc.
OFC, this was made when the Breen Arc was AFTER the Borg arc, but they have since switch those arcs, so, we can guess that its actually 18 months from the start of the game until the end of the Borg Arc
I don't think so. The cutscene where you go back in time to give yourself the Delta Recruit trinket was actually part of the last Breen episode, and I seriously doubt they would've changed it.

I wish they retconned the start of the player's story to be a few years earlier or advanced the story a few years forward. I'd propose something like "one story mission takes about one month, all things included".
That's at least twice as long as the average episode of any of the live-action series have taken. Most seasons were 26 episodes and took place over 1 year.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Not to mention that is with large time gaps between episodes in many cases.
True. We could also get all nitpicky and say that the average series episode, even without commercials, takes about 45 minutes to watch, while our average episode might be about 30 minutes to play through if you decide to soak up all the dialogue. Some are longer, but many are also shorter.

Yes, and, as I said, when they originally made that, the Breen Arc was after the Borg arc, and the figure of 18 months was based on the assumption that you had completed the Borg arc, and you needed to in order to reach the Breen Arc.
However, since they switched those two, that is no longer the case, thus, the 18 months figure can't really be taken at face value, since its a retroactive change the cutscene can't magically adjust for, and its impossible to see the cutscene now anyways since you can't make a Delta Recruit anymore.
With all that in mind, both the Breen and Borg Arcs, and all the arc before them, still take the same amount of time, thus meaning, now its 18 months until the end of the Borg Arc.
Well since you insist on continuing, I replayed "Cold Storage" with my Delta Recruit to confirm the cutscene still takes place at the same time. It's still at the the breen arc, end of story.
Retcon happens.
And the new borg arc is actually mostly the old undine arc, which is likely why it's placed where it is. Only one of the missions is based on the old borg arc.
Well, the 2800 arc was basically at the end of 2409. The Breen Arc was before the 2800 one and the all of the Borg-Undine stories were before that. Anyways, so are we going to see some type of phasing technology between the various years now? In SWTOR, they progressed the story to nearly 10 years since the beginning of SWTOR.

As I muttered last time I saw someone complaining about the "time progression"...
1. Don't "most" of the STO races have "Human Normal" lifespans? If so, how are we going to start to show aging effects on these characters? Shouldn't my Trill (joined or not) / Human / Betazed / Klingon / Orion / Etc. have a couple of aging effects by now? "young" characters should be done "filling out", older characters starting to see the gray hairs and wrinkles, etc. Most Ocampans (obvious extreme here) that partook of the tutorial should be now considering "retirement", so they can make the best of their "twilight year", and if they were to revisit the Ocampan Convoy of Delta Quadrant, we should see extreme aging there.
2. Something noboby thinks about is the "hub NPCs". My KDF Delta Recruit Gorn has only known the KDF transporter officer that replaced the one which was "killed for incompetence". Pretty soon he's gonna start thinking this dude incompetent because he's been there two years and has yet to get reassigned to an "honorable" posting. Or little miss "DS9 has just underwent renovations" - the station was renovated "two years ago" (because any newly minted character can go to DS9 as soon as they can leave their home sector) and hear that commentary upon their "2409" visit and their "2411" visit. And old Admiral Quinn, they gonna let him sit in the big chair forever? When's Okeg gonna have to stave off reelection? the KDF houses are "that content" with Jm'pok that nobody's gonna challenge him? Especially these "new upstarts" that got to the high council because of M'Tara?
2.5 And how do you keep those "in" the, say, 2409-11 range seeing Okeg/Jm'pok/Quinn/Renovation lady/Here because of someone else's incompetence, and those in 2412 seeing the replacements?
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...
