We are proud to announce that actor Tony Todd will portray General Rodek in an upcoming update of Star Trek Online for PC.

      while i get he will be known as Rodek i would have put Rodek/Kurn as i was like "i know that name" but had no clue who it was at first. :smile:

      Awesome! Tony Todd is one my favorite character actors and voice actors! Especially his portrayal of an older Jake Sisko in the DS9 episode, "The Visitor". Definately his best work in Star Trek!

      Hopefully, it won't end in tragedy. Worf lost his son already, he doesn't need to lose his brother as well.

      I still really wish they would save these for AFTER the mission came out. It would have been awesome to get this surprise during the mission. Cryptic has no flare for the dramatic.

      Aww, I really liked his character Kurn in TNG and DS9. Hopefully they restory his memory ;-)

      His acting as adult Jake Sisko made me cry back in the days. Not because it was that bad but it touched me.

      Well it seems I need to rewatch some old episodes. Haha.

      You're not going to get one of the biggest-name actors STO has ever had for faction-exclusive content. Seriously - Todd (who is one of those actors who's just awesome even when working with rubbish) is probably the only Voice Actor STO's ever had who is well known for their work apart from Trek.

      Still, a great result and I have high hopes for some excellent Klingon themed missions coming up.

      No they want to get as much media exposure as they can so they get (possibly) new interested players signing up in anticipation of the new mission (at least I'm assuming it's new mission) content.

      Oh, how I wept when I watch The Visitor.

      And since Tony Todd also played adult Jake, he could play the voice of a grown up Jake Sisko, should such voice work ever be needed. :)

      This is about the BEST news aside from an announcement John deLancie will make a guest appearance in one episode ARC mission, or perhaps even a longer episode story that occur(s) as a week long event to break up the Academy Particle Collection and various Crystaline, Mirror, or PVE Q events... Well one can always dream... as deLancie said to one STO fan... call my agent.

      Remember the trial never ends... We'll be watching... Oh I think I'd possibly die if that happened!

      Still this is very awesome news for Klingon's everywhere...

      Always excellent to see a Star Trek alumni join the STO cast!
      I do have a bit of nitpicking to do, though. In the first paragraph it says "..spurns Worf into showing his "true Klingon self"."
      To spurn means to reject or to turn away from. Somehow I think that wasn't Kurn's intention. Rather, I think it was to spur Worf into yadda yadda.
      A small thing, to be sure, but a world of difference can be found in a single letter.

      Damn he is one of my favorite's from Star Trek especially being Klingon :)

      Although I am hoping I'll be able to login some day to see what is done with his character(any character that was last on winter map can no longer be played :()

      I am absolutely STOked about Tony Todd being brought aboard to reprise his TNG/DS9 role(s) of Kurn/Rodek! Hopefully, the story arc will address the relationship between Worf and Kurn, while healing the divide caused by Worf's decision to re-brand his brother as Rodek. Hopefully, the STO team will not kill off Kurn/Rodek at the conclusion of the story arc. That would be, both, unfortunate and unpopular. In any event, it's great that the DevTeam is bringing in another ST alumnus for some episodic Voice Acting. This is the kind of content many STO players want to see. This is content for which I am willing to continue paying. Thanks for the New Year's treat!
