PS4[console] [PS4] Can't "collect" research and development reward

Hello everyone, is there a current bug involving the research and development menu on console? I currently can't collect the reward from research and development since that recent update to PS4. I select to "collect" and it remains there and so I can't progress further because all the slots are taken.
Is there a workaround?
