Do you have any fun consoles that you like to use just for its appearance or attacks?
(Skippable) Because the difficulty range in this game seems to be all over the place lately I prefer to just play my missions on Normal difficulty, That way I don't have to deal with damage sponges on Advanced ground missions and I can keep the same build for Battle zones (Voth ground) (though I do have a stronger build for Normal space queues, and actually weaken my ship a lot for single player missions and foundry) so because of this I can equip things that are fun as I don't have to worry about DPS.....) Annnyway because of this I've started looking into fun consoles to use, things that actually do something instead of just having passives.
I've just bought Spatial Charge Launcher
sto.gamepedia.com/Console_-_Universal_-_Spatial_Charge_Launcher which is the type of thing I'm talking about. So, what's your favourite/most fun?

Something slightly related (am I allowed to go off topic in my own thread?
) is this console: Theta Radiation Vents
sto.gamepedia.com/Console_-_Universal_-_Theta_Radiation_VentsDoes anyone have any idea about roughly how many keys it would take to get this console? I main a Fed-Rom so the only avenue available to me would be buying it from the Ferengi Lock Box (as there's none on the Exchange). I know there's an average boxes needed to get a ship, but what about the averages of obtaining a console?
EDIT: I've found this console and it's in a box which has both this and another console in it (for KDF). To find this console search for just 'Theta Radiation' instead of 'Console - Universal' etc
Also Merry Xmas everyone

I use the sheshar separation console and monbosh subspace tranceiver on my Sheshar, and I use the broadside cannon console on my Kelvin dread.
I also use the spinal lance console on my Fleet Phantom.
Those are just a couple of fun consoles I use on my main toon alone. I have four others but it's a usefulness-fun ratio that is very individual to the player I find.
Many of my builds dont have any non passive consoles at all.
EDIT: I used to use the spatial charge launcher, but never stuck with it for some reason, I do have it in my bank still though.

@ren_larreck
there's also the torpedo of DOOM from the T'Varo. That's a really fun one.
My character Tsin'xing
Projected Singularity is nice when you need some breathing room or to regroup some opponents to unload a cannon volley or any other sphere or cone AOE.
Subspace Integration Circuit is pretty when you're fighting opponents prone to move a lot when you have a slow-turning ship.
As a "Oh TRIBBLE!" console, Fluidic Phase Decoupler isn't bad, even giving you a shockwave when you come out of its untargetable period.
But for me, the queen of "Oh TRIBBLE!" consoles is the Regenerative Integrity Field from the Samsar. I never leave a ship without it.
Isometric Charge for massive damage, if you have Gravity Well, as it reminds you of a part of the epic intro of ST Armada and the Akira's Chain Reaction Pulsar, at 2:36

I've edited my first post because I found it in a dual box (2 consoles dependent on your faction) I thought I'd seen it as a stand-alone the other day but it was something like 50 million on the Exchange.
Yeah I use a Malem and that console can pack quite a punch
Yeah, that's another one that's constantly on my ship whether doing single player missions or Advanced queues.
The Spacial Charge console mentioned does something similar though it needs a critical to activate, things like that can be useful on groups
Yeah that's the type I'm talking about, and 'trick console' seems a better definition.
Things like you mentioned that have an effect/ability such as teleporting, firing some different type of weapon etc.
Now I've got things like Photonic Displacer (can get you out of scrapes).
Theta Radiation Vent (useful as I fly a very quick and agile escort, a swift fly-by as a group of enemies warp in, deploy the cloud in front of them and let them move into it). Also my Malem doesn't have enough engineering seats to be able to slot Vent Warp Plasma, so this is a way to get something similar.
As I fly a Warbird I use Shield Absorptive Frequency Generator which gives a 2.5% chance of healing you for 200% the damage you deal. Very useful and has saved my hide quite a few times.
And Plasma Warhead Module (only usable on T'varos and Malems) packs a wallop.
Yeah, that's why I felt the need to explain how I play missions on normal difficulty, as a lot of the consoles being mentioned might be impractical on harder difficulties I can afford to drop consoles which make me tougher/stronger and supplement them with fun/trick/visual consoles.
The new Delphic console that boost all exotic damage and can be mounted on any ship comes with an amazing "get out of my sky" cone-of-death clicky.
And really, all four of the KT consoles are simply the blue ribbon of gross overkill. Read them. Then read them again because if you have any sense of game balance whatsoever you won't believe what you saw the first time.
For something to be called a "The Picard Maneuver" is really disappointing - they should have scaled it so one can adjust the size of your warp jump at least, and make one immune to damage during the animation instantly.
I'm hoping some day they can add some token that can be applied to all such fun consoles to give them passives and bring them up to standards so they don't wreck a build as most of them do.
Hehe. I've just bought that Cone of Death Clicky cause you mentioned it.
Got it for only 250,000, though the average price seems to be about 750,000-850,000 if anyone else is interested.
Thanks for adding the link. Yeah I was going to mention the Photonic displacer as that's one I used to use and sounds very similar.
You're right about adding buffs to these consoles. With a lot of special tokens requiring Advanced queues it does make a lot of these consoles redundant when it comes to having a competent ship DPS-wise.
I know a lot of people like to obtain better gear as a type of advancement etc but I'm not sure the content (story missions/foundry/Battle Zones) supplies the content to do so after a certain point so I just create my own game 'challenge' by gimping myself (I also really hate ground damage sponges, though I don't mind space sponges as it seems more plausible). It's not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoy it as it allows me to use these type of consoles (also because the game seems well too easy now) it keeps the game fun and 'fresh' )as I have more 'toys' to play with )and also allows a bit of a challenge in Space Battle Zones as I'm not face-rolling the content.
