    Grats!

The Paladin with the Ranger skin is just enough TOS for me.

    Congrats!

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to steam in jealousy for a bit. Why? Because I would kill (figuratively) for the T6 T'Liss. The Romulan Bird of Prey has been one of my all time favorite sci-fi ships since I was, like, five (right there with the D'deridex class, Y-Wings, Narn cruisers, and TIE Bombers). Because, hey, life long Romulan fan, they're the best. Even had a dream as a kid that I went to a Trek convention and got a TNG-era Romulan uniform and make-up application for free. I'd obsessively check the TV Guide to see when "Balance of Terror", "Face of the Enemy", and any other Romulan episode would be airing so I could watch again (I remember they had a "Cloak and Dagger" week for TNG, showing all Romulan episodes all week long!). I've named a puppy my old dog had "Tomalak", my "nerd collection" that thankfully my girlfriend was more than happy to help us display in our bedroom's (it actually looks very tasteful) oldest item is an action figure of Sela, and after my childhood home burned down earlier this year I thought i'd lost damn near everything that was still there. This included my Star Trek CCG collection that I spent much of my life collection since Decipher first released it. My favorite deck was, of course, of the Romulan affiliation (mostly a science focused deck, designed to move quickly so Doctors Soran and Reyga could be out sciencing ASAP with Telek R'Mor popping in along the trip... Khazara, Decius, sometimes the Terix as my "heavy hitter" ships with the Gal' Gathong, Pi, and I think a couple others there for "quick" options). Awesome deck, the pride of my collection, and I even played it competitively as a kid with a high degree of success. All ashes now (though I did find the melted ruins of my Fajo Collection). Honestly, I felt like Andreas Katsulas had passed away all over again.

However, a couple of artifacts miraculously survived unscathed... including my giant toy D'deridex-class warbird (one of these), which I found completely unharmed a week after the fire. A little smokey, and the electronics had already ceased functioning years ago, but a little soap and water would be all that was needed to at least make her look pristine. I honestly gave off a little yelp of joy, I had absolutely no reason to think it had survived and I found myself hit as hard by its "loss" as some items that are literally irreplaceable. But there she was, my own little Khazara; even the RSE emblem sticker was managing to cling to her bow.

So yeah... I really, really want that T'liss for my Romulan. Unfortunately I'm far too poor to just outright "buy" it and I spent a few years away from STO until last September (just didn't have the time :() so I don't have the in-game resources at my disposal to snag one. I've thought about spending my last 1000 ZEN (Black Friday murdered me... finally treated myself since I knew if I didn't get a lot of what I bought then it'd be harder to afford it later. But hey, Legacy of Romulus for 50% off! And I finally got my Saurian his Fleet DSSV and upgraded it to T5U!)... I could buy a four pack of the promotion R n' D and roll the dice that I get my T'Liss. But that seems stupid. My odds are incredibly, incredibly slim, and it's more than likely it ends up mostly a waste (save for some Lobi crystals, which I'd actually be kinda cool with). Instead, it's probably a better idea for me to either save my ZEN or even use it to buy some boxes and sell them later for the fat profit. Save my ZEN and EC up, so whenever the next time the T'Liss becomes available I won't have to gamble to get it. I'll just be able to say "Here's 260 keys, thanks for the Bird of Prey", double check that my girlfriend (hell, probably fiancee by then) is out of earshot, and then squeal as loudly as I can. Probably dance with the dog (not Tomalak, for the record, he went to a good home a long, long time ago and I'm sure had a wonderful life).

And besides, my Romulan still has his Retrofit D'deridex and Morrigu Valdore (which, Cryptic, I beg you to give the IRW prefix to!) to have fun with (along with, like, a billion other Romulan ships. LoR, hell of a drug). I'll get it someday, mentally part of me is already setting my sights on that distant goal... right there with me hoping to one day collect all the unbound Hirogen DOFFs and ships (I have none so far) to give to a theoretical "Hirogen" character made with the alien-gen (unless Cryptic wants to hurry up and GIVE US PLAYABLE HIROGEN... hint hint, wink wink) and turning my Saurian's new Voth Bulwark (see? I already got super lucky once, won't happen again!) in a united space lizard party boat loaded down with Saurian, Voth, Gorn, Xindi-Reptilian and various other space lizard people DOFFs and BOFFs (pretty sure Hirogen are reptilian, so... guess I need two sets of those TRIBBLE).

Someday, I'll get to fly her. Until then, I've got time to think up a name... maybe the "Keras" or "Tomalak". That, and enjoy all the rest that STO has to offer. Keep working on my lizard party boat, keep enjoying missions, hopefully get back to work on my insane number of Foundry mission ideas soon, keep kitting out my Saurian and Romulan with better gear. I'm just happy to see Cryptic putting the T'Liss in the game, and I'm happy to see there's fans of Trek just like myself who are winning the opportunity to enjoy the TOS era ships. So congrats again, dude, I really hope you love seeing the USS Whateveryounamedher zooming about the galaxy. Hope to see her around ESD sometime, reminding all of us that we're Honor Roll Students at the Jelly School.

So... a few weeks ago, I decided to get the Ranger. With no way to get the T6 Constitution, I thought it would be adequate. It was never quite satisfying, but it performed well and had the right general aesthetic.

With the T6 Constitution becoming available, and having 900 points left over, I thought I'd just give it a go and see what happened.

I got my ship. I opened TWO boxes, and there it was, a T6 ship (the Constitution, naturally...).

I'm still a bit in shock. I really didn't expect to get anything of interest, I never, EVER win anything. For once, the rng gods were WITH me!

Whoo. I need to sit down a minute.

do you often play standing up? lol

Light, I assume...a Kelvin is far easier to get, and costs a fraction.

Its too bad one cannot toggle the enhanced battle cloak off to a regular battle cloak.

why would you want to? RBC doesn't do anything that REBC can't.

I too am content with the TOS style crafts that are around, such as the aforementioned Paladin with Ranger skin. Though having said that, I certainly shan't say "No" to the ship of ships should one come my way.

    Boldly go!

Resident TOS, G.I. Joe, Transformers and hair metal fangirl.

Enhanced battle cloak you can fire torps and mines while cloaked, battle cloak you cannot, both can cloak while at red alert.

Thats how I felt when I opened packs the first time on the first day it was avalible. I used Dilithium from other toons and after about 13 boxes [System] [GameplayAnnounce] B-Money@DecadeComplete was issued an 23rd Century Promo Ship Pack!. Keep in mind this was literally A MONTH after I had just made Kelvin Connie into a flagship. So now I have both versions. I used the Constitution Refit skin because its my favorite unless they somehow get Phase 2 in there. Both Endgame Constitution Cruisers are mine. I only hope that they do a third with the Enterprise A from Beyond hopefully with Astika Bridge Officer slots.

As someone who has been fighting for the ship for years and writing a ton of blogs to help get it in the game the fact that I got it on the first day was a huge surprise and a huge pleasure.

    Hey Capt B!

To get Phase II Enterprise use TOS Connie saucer, Exeter neck and enginnering hull, TMP nacelles and pylons. :)

Mine is almost like that, but I prefer the TOS engines.

Congrats!, Im not fond to the Connie but a t'liss or a D7 would be great... Or anything. I hope the rng gods are with me this weekend

Aye, my feds are saturated enough with ships that it makes a d7 the top priority as a nice christmas present to my longest-serving klingon character. Temporal/Intel, 56k base hull, 1.15 shield mod, and 11 base turn fulfills every category on the wishlist. Congrats to the OP, and fingers crossed as I spend the current event amassing the ec for ~30 packs.

Even better, you can lay mines without decloaking AT ALL. Torpedoes can be fired, but will uncloak you for a moment.

Cool, noted...I have a Kor pilot doing a bomber, and the most tricky thing in a fragile ship is that periodic decloaking.

Right? Now I kinda want a ship that focuses on just dropping as many mines as possible while cloaked.

I managed to get one the other day, in the end, i gave it to my temporal recruit, as my romulan is already with every temporal ship released, and seems fitting for this char to get a temporal 23rd century ship.

Now, i'm after the t'laru...

Have you tried Polarize hull? EBC and REBC ships can use it while staying cloaked.
