I wrote my Character Captain Nathan Valdez to enjoy late 20th and early 21st century 'classical music'

A lot of my characters fancy jazz, classical - like Strauss, Beethoven and those sort of folks - big band such as Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and those sort of folks. 1970s pop, and heavy metal/1980s cheese rock. In fact, I have a playlist I had just for playing STO, with it's fair share of 80s hair metal - nothing like blasting vaudwaar to Leatherwolf! XD
And knowing is half the battle!

My forum single-issue of rage: Make the Proton Experimental Weapon go for subsystem targetting!
Magdalena Dalton likes music from the 1980s.
Ruavu Deruno absolutely adores ragtime music and 20th century Earth composers.
As a Reman, Karatek is still exploring musical styles to find what she likes.
Misryath likes soft music played on strings.
Tolata likes the Romulan and Bajoran equivalents of bluegrass and operas from many different species.
Stebanyir likes Klingon War Chants.
Zeus just tells Apollo to play something and Apollo instinctively knows what to play.
Algernop Krieger is, of course, a fan of rock music from the 1960s through 1980s, especially Rush.
Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

For that matter, the only other Fed Klingon in my entire roster, Grunt's science officer Commander Roclak, is a devotee of another ancient Earth musical style, rap. It was at Roclak's insistence that Grunt's brand-new Nandi-class be named USS Mixalot; whenever anyone asks why, he just smiles and starts singing something about liking big butts.

He and Krieger would get along famously, then. I can hear K'Tang now, channeling Worf after hearing Rush for the first time... "This is a WARRIOR'S song!!"

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.

My Human Captain Drake Storm is from the 'City of X' universe, enjoys twentieth century classics in Rock, Synth-Techno (Think Tron) occasionally Metal, definitely Country, as well as a penchant for whatever passes for 'Disney' songs in the STO universe. He's a sucker for romantic songs for sure.
Would have to think about my other Captains for sure...
Edit: Hazel, my TOS recruit, would adore Ragtime, Johnny Cash and Elvis, as well as Orchestral music. Musicians like Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood would also suite her fancy.
