I recently purchased 2 $20 steam cards to add zen to my STO account. I normally only buy Zen/add Zen if there is a ship or something I want. Well, I wanted to buy the Ouroboros Raider, and use the left over 1000 zen to get dilithium for the Phoenix packs. But I found out I got put on a probationary period and cannot use the dil exchange till it's done. I am wondering why is that even necessary? I bought the Steam cards with CASH, and transferred the exact amount to my STO account, plus my Steam and STO accounts are "linked" together. Is the probationary period going to be over before the end of this week? My account should show that I do buy zen in between $20-$60 at a time and it's almost always through Steam. Can the devs relax the security just a tiny bit? it's actually hurting players that buy zen for the purpose of getting dil or those wanting to buy packs and give the contents to friends.
As an edit: If you tell me to use a credit/debit card to get around it, then that won't happen since I don't have a card or bank account. Really no need for it.

I would think it would be kinda obvious if I was going to cancel my purchase, I wouldn't by a ship, Intel outfit, and try to purchase dil all within the same hour.
Plus they can look at my record and actually see, I never cancelled a purchase, nor do I plan to. They can consider this last $40 I spent my last, unless they can change their security practices.
And if it last several weeks, I might as well forget getting anymore Phoenix Packs. that was one of main reasons for buying the dilithium in the first place. Some people can't just up and buy zen when a new thing comes out. Some people have to wait for a payday. Sometimes those paydays come after the event starts.
