Anyone else tired of the double message on Crystalline entity?

Why when I'm rushing to get in phaser range of the entity do they throw multiple clone text boxes at us? Shouldn't that get fixed at some point?

    I spend the first 5 min of the queue trying to get rid of the intro box from admiral chubby face flat top.

    Lol, I just use something like a cruiser command and full-impulse to get rid of it. Quicker than clicking it closed.

If you don't have another skill at the ready it can take 5 seconds to clear him. And, since the CE last only about 30 seconds these days, you miss out on some of the fun because of Admiral Wontshutup.

    Yes indeedy...it is *very* annoying. I've had it pop up on me as much as four times in a row (no just hitting "go" and flying in - you have to click the x to get rid of it) and had it only show up one time (which you could just click "go" to fly and have it drop the box by doing so) - no rhyme or reason to why it acts how it acts. Also, I agree with angrybobh - it is often causing me to miss out on the fun because by the time I've gotten all the pop ups of him done the CE is dead...

    I do hope this isn't working as intended (or as stated above "a feature" =p) and that it does get fixed <soon> (tm). =))

    Oh GAWD yes. I wish that stupid thing wouldn't pop up at all. I don't need to be told to shoot the giant snowflake until it dies.

    well - logging in on my 23rd century toon I get the "don'T worry, timeline is stabel" followed by some needy Romulans and then the double dose of what to do in Crystal Entity...yep, would be great if they fixed those things
    18 characters
    KDF: 2 tacs, 2 engs, 3 scis
    KDF Roms: 3 tacs, 1 eng, 1 scis
    FED: 2 tacs, 1 eng, 2 scis
    TOS: 1 tac
    all on T5 rep (up to temporal)
    all have mastered Intel tree (and some more specs Points)
    highest DPS: 60.982

    Easiest solution would be to make it a 5 person queue instead of the current 10 person.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Hit ESC.
    Wait ... then hit ESC again.

    Wash, rinse, repeat until the annoying window stops opening.

    THEN hit Cloak and Evasive Maneuvers to close with the Entity without shoving Power Levels into Engines.

    Turn off the "stop in contact dialogs" option in the game settings.

    Seems every npc in this game is trying to be the new Kurland. Like Phillip Cray that annoys every single time you log in one AoY toon just to say there's nothing wrong with timeline. If they add a female npc to bug us is GOP all over again.

    Agreed it is a real pain in the buttocks and aggravating. The first popup is easy to defeat but the second really sucks.

    Edit: this mission really needs a 30 sec timer, so everybody gets a chance to participate.

    the message at the start of crystalline is especially annoying because if you were to waste time reading any of it the mission would be over before you finished reading, add to this the irritating fact that you have to click twice to get rid of the darn thing and its just more trouble then its worth.
    its not like there is anything particularly complex about the mission and if you are a noob you can easily find out how the mission works either by reading about it on wiki or by watching a youtube video about it before taking the mission on.

    that's one solution but personally I quite like most of the other contact dialogs or at least am not that bothered by the ones I don't much care for as I don't have to put up with them half a dozen times every night over a 3 week period and for the most part I know that if I want to take note of the messages the mission wont be over by the time I have read what they say.

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    Edit: this mission really needs a 30 sec timer, so everybody gets a chance to participate.
    It used to have one to make people read the briefing before starting. I think it got taken out when it was made an STF.

    It's been there from day one. Sometimes a defect is just too cute, historical like referring to all people as men, to fix. Embrace the tedious QAL defect. ;)

    For me its just click click and I'm on my way. But it is annoying.

    He'll only take off your engines if you have the option 'keep moving during contact logs' turned off. It's in the control tab of the settings I think, and keep in mind that those were all reset when Artifacts hit.

    People have been asking for this to be fixed for years.

    The one thing I hate is how some Characters start off the Queue with a few of the Tactical Skills with a 10 or so second offline (countdown timer).

    That happens if you were on a ground map. the game remembers the timers, and doesn't reset them just because you're on ground.

    it's not a bug, its a feature-they WANT you to read the BRIEFING.


    theres no problem with having a "read briefing" tab to the right of the screen you can click if you want to read it but theres no reason for it to be in your face every time you run the mission.

    I wish this game was consistent on running down timers when logged out.

    As I am getting through 13 Characters per day I will usually reset the Temporal Reputation advancement and reset Crafting advancement and then go directly into CCA. Finish, back to ESD or the Great Hall and logoff until the next day very quickly.
