Yeah, there's way too many saucer-and-nacelles ships in this game. We need more variety! A T6 Vulcan ship, too!!
Actually I would love to see that too, and just more variety. Like the Andorian, escort at tier six, or maybe a battle-cruiser version that is from a different mirror universe that had the Andorian still being a independent power in the universe. Other ships would be a Ferasan ship (maybe give both the Ferasan and Caitian access to to each others ship when you buy both), more Gorn, Reman, and other such race's ship designs.
Something that crossed my mind recently: We don't have tactician spec ships yet. The Vor'cha is clearly a fleet ship. And while the Negh'var may fit better in the role of a tank, the Vor'cha was always about balance between offence and defence.
While the tactician skills are clearly geared towards tanking, they always provide an offensive buff while not threatening. Vor'cha could be what in other games is described as off tank.
Any leaks toward that actually happenining? I currently estimate my chances at 0.1 %.
Don't think that's happening.
After the regent issue I did a a whole lot of digging and google yielded some interesting lock box related results but no sign of a kdf or rom faction ship.

Thing is I have 9 chars. Tac/Eng/Sci for Fed/Kdf/Rom. And only half of them are equipped with a fleet T6 version of their ship of choice.
Fed:
Tac: Andorian, of course a Kumari. T6 Defiant collecting dust.
Eng: currently T5U Regent, soon T6 Sovereign
Sci: T5U Vesta/Nova , no T6
Kdf:
Tac: T5U Tor'kaht, T6 fleet Kor as placeholder
Eng: T6 fleet Negh'var check
Sci: T6 Krenim Sci, placeholder for a true kdf science ship
I'm not interested in some ugly alien ships. I want proper faction specific ships for my chars, preferably canon ships. I may belong to a minority (or an unprofitable majority) but as you can see cryptic could sell some fleet ship modules and c-store ships. If, yes if, they could be bothered to do other things than lockboxes.
