Still cannot equip kits on Romulan/KDF character

I have 2 kits in my inventory on my KDF aligned Romulan Aliengen character that I could equip without any issues before the kit update, and now I still cannot equip either, even after the most recent patch that claims to fix some of the kit and module issues.

I can equip modules fine, but the actual kits won't go into the assigned slot.

If you are in space, transport to a ground map, then back to a space map again. If you are on a ground map, beam up, beam down, beam up. This is what I had to do, sometimes multiple times beaming up and down until the kit I had equipped prior to the kit revamp showed up on my character. Once it shows up you should be good to go.

You misunderstand me. I didn't "lose" the kits. They're visible to me - and have been since the patch - they're in my inventory, but I can't equip them on my character like I could before the revamp patch. I've already beamed all over the place multiple times on that toon since then, so there's nothing missing.

I am having the same issue as well on my romulan character. I can equip modules, but not kits. No issues on my fed characters.

From what I've been able to ascertain, there's an "invisible" kit taking up the kit slot that I can't remove or replace (either by dragging and dropping it or via the drop down window that appears - in fact, that window doesn't even see the other kits I have in my inventory).

I've beamed up and down to and from innumerable locations, and switch instances about a bajillion times since the kit update patch weeks ago, and nothing seems want to make that kit reappear - as it has with others that have encountered this issue. I'm confident that the kit that is taking up that slot is no longer functioning (not that I can recall what the functions were) nothing shows when I attempt to examine the item that is in that slot, but I can grab it and drag it out, though it doesn't actually remove the kit.

I can do the same as well. It appears to have an imaginary kit stuck in that slot that can't be moved.
