Frame Rates are in the toilet since new release

Ever since the latest major release and even after today's update my frame rate has gone from great to horrible. At max settings I used to be in 60+ FPS most of the time, now it's stuck 15 fps or less. Even if I lower all the setting to minimum (looks like TRIBBLE) the best FPS I can get is 24. I've tried turn off the new lighting, dropped down to DX9, nothing getting past the 15-24 fps mark.

The game is unplayable, even Doffing is a pain

Got an i7 4790k OC with fast 32 gb DDR3 and ASUS GTX960 4gb OC running the Nvidia latest drivers.

No problems with other game, so what's the deal?

    Only place I'm having FPS issues is ESD, but that's not new. The FPS on ESD has always been abysmal, even before the lighting update.

    Well it's definitely more than just ESD for me, it's everywhere.

    Try hiding/disabling the mission tracker.

    thanks but that did nothing to improve my frame rates, made no change to FPS what so ever

    Yesterday I downloaded the latest STO patch and installed the new nvidia drivers that just came out and my frame rates are finally back up. Not sure which fixed it but all appears to be ok now.
