Lighting 2.0 unavailable?

in Graphical and Sound Issues
I am using a DX11 GPU in the Nvidia GTX 980.
It's running on Windows 7 which has DX11 support and yet the lighting 2.0 option is still unavailable for selection for some reason. Is there at least an explanation for why this might be i cannot figure it out.

    Are you using the DirectX 9 renderer?

    same for me, running MSI GTX 980, windows 10, lighting 2.0 grayed out says its not supported with current GPU, very disappointed.....game also resets my graphics options EVERY SINGLE TIME it loads...and ALWAYS reverts to window maximized, not fullscreen..getting very old..using latest game ready driver dated 10-27 v375.70

    ok, i figured out my issue...had to reinstall the game. I guess because i switched graphics cards over the summer, i was still running the same install of the game, so after i reinstalled the game, now my GTX 980 is running the lighting upgrade just fine and tessalation and all effects are working. when all else fails, start completely over.
