also http://stostatus.com/ claims gameservers are down

Seriously? People still refer to that (or did you just google it?), because that site has not worked in a couple of years atleast.
  • [Console] Still no fix for turn rate bug after developer confirmed it was indeed a bug, 3 weeks ago.

Still not even a simple acknowledgement of the concerns of your players on the issue either.

Worst developer... ever. I'm even putting Neo-Bungie in front of you.
I am done, thanks for letting me fly a space ship.

Glad I didn't give yout hardly any money either, thank you MMOTANK! You're the real MVP!

You should know by now that console patches take far longer to implement due to the certification process MS and Sony require. They can't just throw out hotfixes or emergency patches the way they can for critical issues on the PC.

  • What I know is that they have 0 respect for their customers.
They've also had opportunities to fix it, or at least attempt a solid repair.
It should've been prioritized as a hot fix because it was ridiculous of them to remove an entire Stat without testing the impact that would have on gameplay. It's not engines anymore, so where does the turn rate bug stem from? Flight friction? I'll place my bets that the mechanics were based around inertia, and removing it as a whole ruined escorts.

Also, why remove the progress tab? Could have at least left the radial measurement tab in. Just shows that they want to treat players like gaming cattle and I am not interested anymore.

Like I said, thanks for the fun few hours, and thank you MMOTANK for stemming their greed.

First of all - the actual anouncement as released for Consoles stated it was ARC platform maintenance not STO, specifically server updates and upgrades which suggests OS and Hardware.

The only STO specific maintenance was 1 minor fix to the HOLODECK server - in other words the PC server. No mention was made of any Console (PS4 or XBox) changes - Console maintenace takes place on Tuesdays and it is unlikely that any patch notes will be listed on the PC section of the ARC platform, if they are referenced anywhere it will be under NEWS for the specific console.

Any PC player will tell you that we have been where you are but have learned over the past 6 years that (a) sometimes the fixes are not as easily achieved as we like to think they are and (b) when the issue is regarded as game breaking a quick paper over the cracks hotfix can cause more damage than it fixes. Have you considered that the issue might be specific to how the console interprets certain parameters and that Cryptic are actually awaiting some input from either Microsoft or Sony (or both) on exactly how to implement a fix. Consider yourself lucky that these days consoles can benefit from game patches etc. in the same way as PC's. Back in the early days of consoles if a bug slipped through then you were stuck with it.

Their patch this week went across all of their platforms and something definitely gummed up the works. I was unable to play for long hours after the process was supposedly finished. I expect a few glitches, but never to be kicked out of every game that I try to start for hours upon hours. Very later in my day, close to midnight I tried one last time and was able to get into a game, but the screen still claimed that there was a known shard issue?

Hoping for a better experience after work today?

    Agreed...
Strangely, not everybody was not able to connect to STO the 21 october 2016, i noticed nothing (depending country) and was playing as usually until some friends (in France) told me they cannot connect during the entire day...
The problems a lot of peoples encountered the 21 october 2016 had nothing to do with Cryptic / Arcgames... And i think they cannot do nothing against it...
We got the same PSN problem last year during christmas...
    PS4 / PS3 - Star Trek online (Trekkie) - Neverwinter - Mass Effect 1/2/3 Fan, I like Andromeda - Main language : Français - Secondary language : English - Third language : Forget you won't like it...

Cryptic, I know this an old thread. But please put all the old patch notes threads into the Release Notes section, do not just close them. Thanks. :)
