Xbox - Person hailed is not always the person contacted

What I mean is, let's say you have the Deferi dailies and the Asteroid Mining daily available to you in your Incoming Hails, with Asteroid Mining listed first. If you press A on Incoming Hails to enter the list, then press A again twice to Hail the Asteroid Mining Ferengi NPC, without moving your mission selection, there is a chance that you will, instead, end up hailing the Deferi contact.

This is kind of rare, and I couldn't tell you how to reproduce it, past not moving the highlight before trying to hail. I just know that it happens on occasion. I'll go to hail one NPC for an available mission, and I'll end up hailing someone else through no fault of my own.

This can be avoided/fixed by moving the highlight before making a selection. Any time I have moved the highlight before hailing, even if I was hailing the first entry, it has worked correctly.

I would guess that it's related to the problem of mission names getting jumbled, but that particular problem seems to have been fixed - or at least, I haven't experienced it since the patch (then again, I haven't been watching for it, either).

It's not a huge deal. The worst that can happen is you end up not paying attention, "accidentally" hailing the Tour the Galaxy person, and accepting it when you're not ready. That happened once. I now use my method to avoid this bug (usually; sometimes I forget and run into it).
