'Criminal' activity as an answer to the question posed?

Anyone here saying that farming for drops is not "worth it" is just being ridiculous.

Think about it, where exactly do you think all those Energy Credits made on the exchange come from? You think those Energy credits were attained from just Tour the Galaxy and the Admiralty system alone? Yeah, NO.

People like me, who go and spend endless hours, more hours a day than most spend in a whole week, playing this game, farming for drops, making many many many millions a week, dumping it into the exchange for....pretty much anything I want, dumping that money into the system.

People like me are the reason people ask insane amounts of Energy Credits for the new shiney ships. That EC has to come from somewhere, and it comes from people like me.

Most people trade items for Energy Credits. People like me however, we MAKE the Energy Credits.

Do you have a life off this game? o.O

Probably one of the Comic Book Guy wannabes (named after the character from The Simpsons) as discussed here

If selling vendor trash, go to delta command which gives you an extra 10% selling price per item over other places.

Fleet banks are a great source of EC, join a fleet, rob the bank and leave.

    Yeah...don't do this.

So i put my two methods here:
one - the Admirality Assignments can put in nice change (there can be even 200k EC for some assignments)
two - get into journal, and press "Foundry" tab, on top left side press the triangle to drop down search box and put in "farm" - you will find special missions optimized for big drops for least costs (i don't know if they are still working, or if the drops got nerfed, but you may check it out)
    ...
oh - and i play on PC, so i don't know if any of this would work on consoles...

My cubical. I work, which converts to bytes in my bank account, which in turn can be transformed to Zen and then keys and finally to EC. It's a bit of a long process, but beats farming some random mission over and over and over and over and over.

In fact, it's so easy, it could be click-bait worthy as EC farmers HATE this player's secret!

Buy ten keys, split them into units of 1, and sell them all on the exchange. Fast 50,000,000 at least.

The item you're wanting is only a matter of "How many keys do I need to sell?"

Those will not work on STO console.

#1 - Admiralty system does not yet exist.

#2 - There is no Foundry for STO console. I am pretty sure I heard / read Steve Ricossa state it will never get it. I don't play Neverwinter at all, but I have read that the Foundry is no longer a feature of the game. Not sure if that is for console and PC, or just console. But given that the Foundry is no longer available for Neverwinter console, it can be speculated that the console version of STO will not get it... ever.

Did my first SB24 today - Solo (and ever) got a bunch of Uncommon and Rare and then for my spectacular 1st Place finish at the end two Mk XII VR items. Was fun too.

I think the most important point to be made here is that you had fun. :)

Solo SB24 is also a good way to get a T6 ship to its max level/ship trait. 1-2 runs on a ship you don't want to play regularly but want the ship trait. Plus I average about 250k EC just discarding the drops (never bother going to vendors or anything since I run 11 toons, but that would obviously net more EC) and another 250k EC selling the VR drops/mission rewards. And it is kinda fun to run that mission solo, challenging even.

The exchange console on k-7 :). Thats where all the magic happens. Buy low sell high. If youre looking for actual gametime farming... yea sb24 or CE (run a partgen torp sci on ce you'll bag 1st place every time with tbr, gravwell, fbp, & ionic turbulence). Starting in two days you all get kelvin torps on consoles which are quite useful here as well.

No zone chat to distract from the flipping of items. Only peace and quiet, and profit.

If you're farming drops, the most advantageous place I have found is the Badlands since it drops Mark XII items.

Personally, I just farm my 8k Dilithium on all my characters.. mostly through Admiralty and then when I have enough I guy a key and sell it on the exchange. It's lazy and slower then other methods, but it's pretty much free money.
    Insert witty signature line here.

That's why the game has ships.

Nandi Warship is great for that. :)

Well, if they get cleaned out I'd assign them some blame if they don't properly establish promotional procedures & withdrawal limits. Steal from us, you will not only get booted, you will have a theft report filed via ticket against your account.

KDF faction has a daily called Tour the Galaxy. You pick it up from a Naussican on Q'onos in the bar. Easy EC...25k EC per system visited. The faster your ship, the more EC you make. Would be shocked to learn that the Federation doesn't have an equivalent daily mission.

You are kidding right? FED has had the tour for a good long time.
