Flavor items you'd like to see

What items would you like to see in the game for nothing more than fun (flavor) opportunities? Items such as:

1. RAINBOW GENERATOR, that would allow your beams to change color with each fire.
2. A BAJORAN SOLAR SAIL SHIP. Yes it'd be pretty much useless, but sheesh I want one!

What other pure fun/flavor items would you want?

Agree 100% with the Bajoran Solar Sail Ship.

Make the Aegis set custom color.

Would love a Bajoran Solar Sail ship, but what we really need is bringing back the Emote Packs to the C-Store. People are always complaining about the P2W in this game and Cryptic removes the little bit of useless cosmetic fluff that F2P games are known for.

We already have a Rainbow Generator with the new Temporal Reputation Space equipment.

Speaking of ships that are mostly useless, but fun, bring back the Risian ships.

    1. Prometheus interior, complete with EMH Mk I and EMH Mk II discussing upgrading their programs in Sickbay.
    2. Playable Dominion faction that actually isn't some boring Federation puppet with their own unique missions and no co-operating junk with any of the other Fed content.
    3. Future Imperfect CommBadges, Admiral Picard's Future Imperfect uniform, and a Future Imperfect Enterprise D Galaxy interior along with an Enterprise D Galaxy interior option.

Sadly, Cryptic is not capable of this. The Klingons were supposed to be the opposing faction, but now they were just relegated into Federation puppets. Any new micro-faction that Cryptic makes will be another Federation puppet. A few missions that are their own unique missions and the rest co-operating junk.

This idea that working together means they are "puppets" is laughably dishonest.

-Nice meme. I'm sure Cryptic is responsible for every other MMO that has all its races/factions come together to fight a common enemy also.

-Actually, the Klingons were supposed to be for PVP, not an opposing faction for all time. Indeed, we know from Star Trek lore from the TV shows that the Klingons become part of the federation in the future. And Star Trek has always been about being able to achieve mutual understanding. This idea that working together means they are "puppets" is laughably dishonest.

There is a huge difference from various factions coming together to fight a common enemy and every faction doing the exact same content. As far as Klingons and other factions being puppets, it has to do with the wording of the post I quoted and how the other factions follow along with whatever Starfleet story is being told.

Seriously... what is up with that... Is it a US thing or..?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Not really. Even large MMOs like Guild Wars 2 merge all five races storylines into the same one, with the same content. And both WoW and TOR have done it in many places as well. Even ESO has done the same with its content updates.

Its simply not feaseable in time, or money, to make every faction have its own set of 100% unique content. And 99% of the time, when fighting the same foe, theres really only one sure fire way to beat said foe, and all factions would logically use that same way. There is a reason Blizzard just keeps moving Dalaran around as a shared faction hub for its expansion.

Also, your post is dishonest for implying any story post Klingon War arc is a "Starfleet" story. None of them are.

Some of those MMOs that you have listed still come out with faction specific content. 100% unique content might be pushing it, but 10% or 25% unique content is certainly not for other MMOS. Even if we got 5% unique content in STO would be nice.

How is it dishonest saying that they are Starfleet stories? There is a difference in ships, characters, and uniforms as far as each of the factions is concerned, but that is where the differences end. Endgame content is the same for everyone and Starfleet gets the most attention in this game. Each of the cross-faction missions was designed to be completed in a certain way even if it is contrary to how a Klingon or Romulan would normally complete that mission.

That much I know, but why is the spice so special? Would the real deal not be better?

Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice. It's all you get from now until the 4th Thursday in November here, and perhaps until the leftovers are tossed out after. It's ok, but some of the stuff you find it in is just plain gross. Belongs right next to "rainbows" in STO imho.

Umm, the Risian ships are hardly useless. I am using an Risian Corvette as an endgame ship on my main (see sig), and she is rocking that little boat well.

Have the intel outfit have a night/thermal/Geordi-visor vision ability when equipped.

That would certainly give a headache. I always thought of the intel glasses as a 25th Century version of Google Glass. Therefore, there would be a night and thermal mode, but they wouldn't be the default setting.

Personal Sydney Class and Personal Raven Class. Preferably as bigger shuttles with more capability.
T6 Miranda with Soyaz and Saratoga Parts, Preferably as a cruiser but with Uni everything except for CM eng something.
Endgame Pioneer with TMP Style Skin, Universe Class Style Skin and as a battle cruiser with boff layout of the Astika.
Janeways Endgame Shuttle with the Cochrane Shuttle skin from Threshhold as well. Passive armor ability with it.
Actual Kelvin Class but as a Flight Deck Cruiser with an ability to send a copy crashing into an enemy.
First Contact Captain Vest. U.S.S. Franklin Light Escort. A recording of William Shatner saying "You are one who must help humanity, don't expect it from anybody else, Try to progress no matter which superstition or aggressor wants to hold dominion."
A time travel mission to the first signing of Khitomer Accords with actual faction specific dialog. Sulu's extending Katana, Mek'Leths because it looks like they finally have actual Animations on them, A fix for the doff missions that make Melee weapons.

Maybe some holographics instead like that floating head from "Cost of Living", the Flotter series, the Altonian brain teaser, or that holo-game from The Search for Spock(only with jets instead of bi-planes).

A 3 dimensional chess set (I doubr we would be able to have a playable version - good luck making a 4 move checkmate on that version, I tried years ago!). but a ship prop would be nice.

A pilotable Workbee or dock shuttle (TMP/WOK era).

A shuttle bay or hanger for our ships,

I completely agree! Coming together to jointly face a common threat to all factions, is completely acceptable. But this implementation should be more like an event or special thing, like the old 5 episode length FE's. I would prefer to see that instead of just getting through a few missions and being forced to run the exact same Federation content, which makes it generic and unappealing to play another faction when it is essentially the same.

Although the KDF started out as a PvP faction, it still had some very unique content, although little of it. More was added but you never really hear about the excellent content KDF side. Personally, the Fek'lhr missions are my favorite that side that are still in the game. The best mission we had KDF side was a once playable only in the tutorial where you vaporize Tribble piles on a planet in the tutorial nebula. This honestly should have been a daily mission! Running around vaporizing defenseless pests was a lot of fun! :D
