Operation Gamma Temporal Probe impossible to find

Just abandoned my 3rd playthrough of Operation Gamma, searching for the blasted Temporal Probe. I've scoured the surface of every single bleeding rock floating around, but no sing of the blasted thing. It doesn't show up as a dot on my map, and using the /target command has done nothing. For clarity, it has not shown itself in the spot that's described on the Reddit list, either.

I'm TRIBBLE outta ideas, folks. Anyone have any suggestions?

When you exit the asteroid the Ferengi is in, I found the probe just outside the first asteroid to your right. It was super tiny and I really had to be close to see it. Took a VERY long time to find it.
