I was thinking... one of my favorite shows was Enterprise because I thought the ships and the combat of that era was really really well done. The interior of the ships were amazing as well as the destinations that the show took us in 4 seasons. I think that the amazing STO dev team should consider doing an Enterprise Era (2151) Expansion or Season and give us the same kind of story arc and ship options as they did this the Agents of Yesterday expansion.
I've always wanted to command ships from that era but right now, I'm stuck with a T1 NX class that gets pulverized in a couple of shots. A T1 through T6 tree of Enterprise Era ships with say 5 or 6 episodes would be really fun and I don't think I'd be able to stop myself from getting all the ships and playing through that story arc as much as I can. What do you guys think?

And what of the Emmette, Sarajevo (NC Class), and Franklin?
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Of course doing so might make some Romulan players feel bad.
NON RELATED ANNOUCEMENT: @artan42 has ginger hair.
Who cares about Romulan players? Cryptic doesn't, so the mission will play out like every other mission where Romulans would sound like Humans or Klingons, so Romulan players would happily go back in time to blow up their ancestors for the glory of the fledgling Federation.
Ginger? Really? Blond is a type of ginger? The more you Know!
Edit The Franklin is apparently a Starship Class
Though I think that's likely to be in the same boat as the Constitution Class where it's referred to as Starship Class on its dedication plaque but is contradicted by these.
It's more likely the Franklin would be a N something class (as the NX and NC Classes)

i think they did that as a little TOS in-joke...the franklin's class will probably wind up something else just like the constitution did

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
That was supposed to be the next season of Enterprise had it not been cancelled. And since we're doing all temporal stuff anymore, it seems logical that large events like this would have to be shown, since it can change history big time if altered.

I'm seriously let down by your good manners and polite discussion. I thought I was on the STO forums, what's going on here? The world is just making a bit less sense for me now.
It's pretty much this hard to keep just one timeline intact. ♪
It looks very little like the Akira. It shares the same silhouette and that's all. They're about as similar as the Ambassador and Galaxy.
The ENT ships are precursors to the Kelvin era ships and look exactly as advanced as you'd expect (in universe obviously) out of universe they look like perfect predecessors to the TWoK era ships and not to the TOS ships thankfully.
It's not exclusive to ENT. The TUC Enterprise and excelsior look far more advanced than the TNG S1 Galaxy despite predating it.
And the Akira is DS9 era not TNG era, that era is the Galaxy, Nebula, and Olympic etc. before the Defiant kicked off the next era.

Dear god, if they play that TRIBBLE in-game, there will be riots everywhere in this game. EVERYWHERE!!!

i like the idea that nx is next expansion
NCC - Command Cruiser/Heavy Cruiser
NCL - Light Cruiser
NBB - Battleship
NFG - Guided missile frigate
Etc...
As far as pre TOS content, I would love to see more of it, and more TOS as well, maybe tack on a new episode or two every month or two.
Intrepid-type
Ganges-type
Sarajevo-type
Daedalus-type
Then the Enterprise-era alien ships like:
Vissian Starship
Tandaran Patrol Ship
Malurian Starship
Arkonian Destroyer
Axanar Combat Vessel
Kreetassan Starship
Xyrillian Starship
Personally, I think there's a perfect candidate for a temporal agent from the 22nd Century that Daniels likely recruited, like Chekov was recruited from the 23rd Century: Charles Tucker III, or Trip, the chief engineer of the Enterprise NX-01. His situation could be a lot like a 23rd Century Captain character, dying famously (or infamously, rather) and being recruited. In the universe of the Star Trek novels, he ended up having his death faked by Section 31. In STO, I could see Daniels grabbing him and healing him with 31st Century technology where Phlox's 22nd Century tech and menagerie of alien creatures couldn't. Plus, it would be another way to make up for that infamously bad Enterprise series finale "These are the Voyages..." which was voted worst episode of all of the Star Trek series by the fans at this year's Las Vegas convention.

That said, I would absolutely welcome the chance for some 22nd-century Starfleet ships in the game. Ganges, Intrepid, the ENT-era Daedalus, and of course a T6 NX-class.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."
