No, though maybe if they did care about the Star Trek IP as much as they claim it'd be nice.
Because at the moment all I see is a pathetic and desperate attempt to milk it for as much money as possible before either the license gets yanked for putting out bug ridden sh1tty clump of code or people get fed up and leave.
Personally it worries the hell outta me with how many cash-grabs they've been running lately, this is what the 2nd or 3rd Zen sale in the last two months.
What could they possibly need all that money for if they aren't deep into the red with this console gimmick that is probably going to flop, especially given how unforgiving console gamers have gotten over bugs and 'issues' that should never have made it to internal beta test builds and end up persisting for years in live game builds.
Because if I had known just how bad the SNRs, random disconnects, lag, crashes-to-desktop upon just trying to enter Sol, ESD, New Romulus command, Qonos, the Dyson sphere zone, Dyson command, Dyson ground battle-zone, I'm sure I probably missed some, I wouldn't touch this game ever.
Unfortunately I didn't know, I had no problems until someone decided the 'default' graphics setting should be maxed out and that ANY attempts to alter any setting causes the game to freeze up instantly.
With the greed shown thus far with AOY you can never say never. But yes I'm joking
You'd prefer they went out of business wouldn't you.
A few months back I was certainly in that camp. And I would be overjoyed if another company picked up the game and invested in fixing things, a company who cared about the quality of the product and didn't release rushed, unfinished, bug ridden products to market and expect people to pay through the nose on gamble boxes for products that have bugs.
The Ka'fari in the C-store a purchasable product how long has that ship been reported broken ?. None of the money made from the game appears to have gone into fixing the graphical issues with that product. But its still for sale as an example
So i'm not going to apologise for having a negative option on how Cryptic/PWE operate. Several personal experiences dealing with them has given me this option and that's not going to change.
I think the shame is more on you for trying to shame me and defend a product and company that constantly releases broken products. I'm not ashamed to demand and expect more from a product I have invested in.

In my experience the Ka'fari is a weird exception, not a type example. Personally, if I were to go after cryptic QA I would have cited the severe FPS slowdowns that many users reported for New Romulus, Risa, and the FED's early missions. That's a whole lot more stuff than a single T5 KDF carrier. But you know what, that's fixed with the new lighting system (I just checked on Tribble.) And there's an itemized list published (nearly) every week of more of the same (ex. floating Qo'Nos torches, fixed in the same build as the new lighting).
The point: generalizing from individual examples isn't going to help your case. It's how every intense forum post starts but you have to look at this from someone else's point of view. Cryptic's patch notes are inevitably going to have more to offer someone who is coming at this without your experiences and sense of priorities.
So what do you do? Attack the problem, and that's the Ka'fari. Head on over to the bug reporting forums and make sure that issue stays on the radar.

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

Also... no MMO is truely bug free. Every time they put out an update, something may get bugged in the process. MMOs are a constantly evolving creature. There is no such thing as a bug free MMO.

It surprises me how many times people dont understand that. Human beings are flawed creatures, and you expect flawed creatures to created a perfect system or being.

Yeah.....
Even on WoW it has bugs when they release something new. Then you will see updates depending on how bad it was.
Thing about STO, they seem a little slower to fix things. As some things stays broken a lot longer.

Actually, you can have a bug free MMO. It just means that there is no new content and the devs or a dedicated fan base is only involved in fixing bugs until they are all removed. So if some group of Star Wars fans obtained the rights to support a Star Wars Galaxies server in 2012, then it could be bug free by now.

I dunno if the bug fixes continually create new bugs....

Not only that, but things that were previously fixed often get broken again in another update. Pet AI, for example.

I think that's just subjective perception. You know about issue X, it affects you in some way, and you notice how long it has been around. You don't have this particular issue in other games (possibly because you don't play them, or don't play them as much).
A colleague of mine recently started playing WoW again together with his wife. They hadn't played in years and got to explore a lot of content that'S new to them. But they encountered a serious bug that broke the transition to a new region almost impossible. It requires thorough research on WoW forums and similar sources to figure out how to get by it - and I believe even that still required trial & error until it worked. That particular bug has been around for several years. It seems to me the Kar'Fi or WoW. Or at least a potential candidate.

Maybe one day Cryptic will take pride in their work, rather than just making quick money... Maybe.
This is a little lame if I'm honest. We get the Keldon, and that's great, but surely Cryptic can get creative and design some new Cardassian ships? They've managed to do just fine designing Dominion ones. And where (and when) exactly can we expect to fly in the Dominion Battlecruiser?
No, though maybe if they did care about the Star Trek IP as much as they claim it'd be nice.

Those ships have the same consoles as our T5 versions. In other words, they're just reskins of the old ships.
true, but being T6 means they have an extra console, extra HP and such as to what goes with being a higher tier of ship, along with starship mastery and starship mastery trait

they just renewed the license and its been buggy for over 6 years so nobody is going anywhere.... not even you

T5U gets all of that, too. All they have extra would be traits, but nowhere said they won't be copypasted from something, too.

Science Systems Tech/Engineering Systems Tech and Tactical Systems Tech.
These will be split and rewarded via opening one of the following
Lock boxes for Engineering Tech
R&D Promotion boxes for Science Tech
900 Lobi for Tactical Tech
Lol. Stuff of nightmares there
Come to think of it, Dominion lock boxes have been around for a while... It's where I got my Jem'Hadar Carrier.
Doesn't stop them from making T6 variants. They made 2 versions of the Holy Bugship that were T6 after all.

Thats a joke right?
Pretty sure it is. Because there is no way ANYONE would want a lockbox ship with something ridiculous like that as a means of obtaining it.

Emergency Stop, complete loss of interest. In a way this is more annoying than T6 23rd century ships, would like that D7.
But oh well, one less thing to spend time chasing. With any luck they make end up in the Legacy Box.
I understand console specific content, this is just the first console cash grab. Not mad, just slightly disappointed.
