Kelvin Constitution Visual Types.

I would love for the Robert April U.S.S. Enterprise Constitution Type from the CANON JJprize Comic to be avalible for Kelvin Command Cruiser.

http://imgur.com/a/eTZbU here is the picture of it.

Also the Enterprise A from the end of Beyond would be cool. Here is a comparison picture of both the first JJ prize and the current.

http://imgur.com/a/7ZAz8.

I think these types of customizations would be pretty rad unless you're planning on making another endgame kelvin connie lolz.

Here is another picture. I believe this is the actual A.

I don't think I like a single version of the Kelvin Constitution but I bet you could make a really interesting ship if you had all those options.

And maybe the Impulse Engines from the end of Into Darkness. yeah that would look totally rad.

There are no canon comics and your second picture is a comparison of the ship from 09 and ID and it's minor refit from the end of ID and the beginning of BEY. It has a new impulse block and swept back pylons. The 'A' is almost completely different.

JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

That'd be cool. I really like that early Connie (2230s-40s) concept and it seems likely that it would've existed in that configuration in the KT as well.

I'd also like to have the Kelvin Connie-refit (1701-A) as a skin option too. I like the new nacelles on it.

We can only hope. I think a few devs have interest in it but CBS and Paramount and whatnot.

We may have free reign of everything from 09 and ID right now. Give it some time and we may get access to Beyond stuff.
As for the April Enterprise you linked... looks like a Kelvin kitbash to me that I believe is known by fans as the Jovia class or something along those lines. Not an actual Constitution, but has the same layout. There weren't really any clear pictures of what the previous Enterprise looked like, but she appeared to be a similar design to the Connie, which in the KT wasn't introduced until the mid 2250s.

Its a fan name for a Kelvin style kitbash. All they did was take the Kelvin parts and arrange them in a Connie configuration. Not bad looking, certainly fits the style of the Kelvin and the other ships we saw, but still fan made.

Depending on how old the Connie was in TOS... she could have very well gone though several structural refits. Kelvin style > TOS > TMP.

As the Kelvin existed BEFORE the Narada caused the branch off, she is technically prime universe. Hell... the Kelvin could have gotten a TOS refit if she hadn't been destroyed. What the Kelvin looked like could have been how pre TOS fed ships were styled at the time.

Countdown Comics and the JJ verse game are canon. The events of them set before Into Darkness are directly and explicitly referenced to in the movie.

    I'm talking about the kitbash.

The one made of Kelvin bits? It wouldn't fit in the timeline.

If the deleted scene has any weight then April's ship looked like the standard Constitution and Pike's was newly built (the KonsTitution) instead of being the same ship as it was in the Cage.

The Kelvin predates the launch of the NCC 1701 and as the Kelvin style is a Prime design it was replaced by the TOS era visuals in both realities (or rather by the KonsTitution styles in the KT).

  • ^ Well, other ships shown in Star Trek 2009 appeared to be made of Kelvin bits too; the Armstrong, the Mayflower, the Newton, etc. still had the old Kelvin-type warp nacelles, so I think it's entirely plausible that a ship from that time period could have been built in a Connie-style configuration.
  • captainbmoneycaptainbmoney Member Posts: 1,323 Arc User

If you think about it, a lot of Fed ships share similar general layouts.
Saucer, secondary hull, swept up nacelle pylons...
The Connie was the first known ship with that configuration. Then we got the Excelsior, then the Galaxy, then the Sovereign...
While they are variations, they all share the same general profile. And it isn't unusual to base a new class on an older one. For example the Akira, in universe mind you, could very well be inspired by the 22nd Century NX since they both share similar profiles.

I've always been of the position that all hull parts should be completely modular, limited only to roughly-equivalent space frame size.
