I'm trying to compile a list of canon ships that were seen throughout the star trek series that haven't yet been added to Star Trek Online. Most of the ships on this list are fairly obscure only seen in 1 or 2 episodes. I'm curious to know if anyone cares to see any of these ships added to the game or should they just all be forgotten?
Federation Ships
- Norway
- New Orleans
- Challenger-class
- Springfield class
- Freedom-class
- Niagara-class
Klingon Ships
Alien Ships
- Tarellian starship
- Tamarian deep space cruiser
- Promellian battle cruiser
- Theta-class raider
- Husnock warships
- Sheliak colony ship
- Unnamed combat vessel that was encountered at the Qualor II depot in Unification Part I

Oh, and there is the Romulan "Science Vessel" (I believe they were developing some kind of phase cloak tech on it and got Geordi and Ro Laren phase-shifted). The ship's model was based on the Romulan Shuttle, and Cryptic put it in as alternate skin for the shuttle, not as a separate (presumably larger) ship.
The other ship I don't remember being mentioned often (or at all?).

Theta-class raider
Husnock warships

I got the Temporal Raider partially because it reminded me of the Theta-class Raider.
Norway
New Orleans
Freedom
Springfield
Challenger
That reminds me!

Nor should they be. Their ships would look weird.
I believe the Romulan Science Vessel is in game, as alternate parts for the Scout ship that is used as the Captain's Gig.

How to get a K'Vort in STO:
I Support Disco | Disco is Love | Disco is Life
K'Vort could be a new skin for the B'rel...might not even need that..just name it K'Vort/B'rel and press on.
The other ships are kinda bland. I can see why they haven't been picked yet.
Makes me wonder...with all the ships they keep rolling out, what happens when we run out of the creme of the crop...do they start digging into the bottom of the barrel and pulling out these less interesting ships in hopes we'll by them just because or do they just keep reskinning the current stuff and make it all T7 and T8 so we have to keep buying the ships we like over and over again.
On the bright side, that would mean STO is still around 4+ years from now for T8 to exist
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

We deserve Tellarite ships over some obscure race we heard of once in one episdode, they are friggin founders, show some respec.
Not really, the K'Vort is much larger. And the other main difference is the wings. In attack pattern the wings are straight out. There is a few differences.

The "one and only" time B'rel class bird of prey's are referred to that name is in TNG: Rascals, and as it happens the footage of those Bird of Preys is actually a reuse of the footage of the K'vorts in "Yesterday's Enterprise".
In other words: The K'vort and B'rel are exactly the same size as far as hard canon is concerned.
