List of canon ships that aren't in STO

I'm trying to compile a list of canon ships that were seen throughout the star trek series that haven't yet been added to Star Trek Online. Most of the ships on this list are fairly obscure only seen in 1 or 2 episodes. I'm curious to know if anyone cares to see any of these ships added to the game or should they just all be forgotten?

Federation Ships
  • Norway
  • New Orleans
  • Challenger-class
  • Springfield class
  • Freedom-class
  • Niagara-class

Klingon Ships
  • K'Vort-class

Alien Ships
  • Tarellian starship
  • Tamarian deep space cruiser
  • Promellian battle cruiser
  • Theta-class raider
  • Husnock warships
  • Sheliak colony ship
  • Unnamed combat vessel that was encountered at the Qualor II depot in Unification Part I

I know people care about the K'Vort (even though it's just the B'Rel enlarged) and the Federation ships.
Oh, and there is the Romulan "Science Vessel" (I believe they were developing some kind of phase cloak tech on it and got Geordi and Ro Laren phase-shifted). The ship's model was based on the Romulan Shuttle, and Cryptic put it in as alternate skin for the shuttle, not as a separate (presumably larger) ship.

The other ship I don't remember being mentioned often (or at all?).

I got the Temporal Raider partially because it reminded me of the Theta-class Raider.

The Sheiliak colony ship is also the freighter from Search for Spock. So +1

I understand them not wanting to add most of the fedships on my list since they are kit bashes, but some of them look decent enough the New Orleans and Norway in paticular. Most of the alien ships would make great lockbox ships in my opinion.

I believe the Romulan Science Vessel is in game, as alternate parts for the Scout ship that is used as the Captain's Gig.

How to get a K'Vort in STO:
    1. Get a B'rel.
    2. Zoom in really close.
    3. K'vort.

Canonicly the K'Vort and B'rel are the same size.

The Klingon faction has far fewer ships then the federation so I personally would welcome a K'Vort inspired ship. Take the base B'rel that it's based on and make a few changes and call it a K'Vort. @alexraptorr The K'Vort is a actually larger then the B'rel. There's no canon sources on its actual size, but based on its appearance in the TNG episode Yesterday's Enterprise it's significantly larger.

I'm not enjoying those Fed ships. They are kit bashes and at best would be T2, maybe T3. This means very little money generated and not worth the time.

K'Vort could be a new skin for the B'rel...might not even need that..just name it K'Vort/B'rel and press on.

The other ships are kinda bland. I can see why they haven't been picked yet.

Makes me wonder...with all the ships they keep rolling out, what happens when we run out of the creme of the crop...do they start digging into the bottom of the barrel and pulling out these less interesting ships in hopes we'll by them just because or do they just keep reskinning the current stuff and make it all T7 and T8 so we have to keep buying the ships we like over and over again.

What about the borg ship that was in the episode where Lore became their leader? That was a cool one. Also, I don't believe the shuttlecraft Alice from Voyager is in the game.

On the bright side, that would mean STO is still around 4+ years from now for T8 to exist :)

I don't care about the K'vort or the kitbashed Wolf 359 ships. But the Norway would be cool. And the mercenary ship from "Gambit".

Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Not really, the K'Vort is much larger. And the other main difference is the wings. In attack pattern the wings are straight out. There is a few differences.

I been wanting the New Orleans in the game for a long time. I would love to fly her. She is one good looking ship compared to some of the junk they came out.

Aye kvort was referred to as a battle cruiser and fired with wings full spread, presumably they did not move. But we only saw them for five minutes

I would like to have the sleek little shuttle from Voyager. In 2410 it would've been around for over 30 years, so you'd think it'd be one of the basic standard-issue shuttles in the game by now.

Still waiting on Surek class cruisers from ENT. I know we have Dkyr but I like the Surek cruisers better.

No Husnock ships, understandable, what with them being extinct and all.

It always amazes me how much people rely on tech manuals and non-canon sources when it comes to the K'vort and B'rel size debate.

The "one and only" time B'rel class bird of prey's are referred to that name is in TNG: Rascals, and as it happens the footage of those Bird of Preys is actually a reuse of the footage of the K'vorts in "Yesterday's Enterprise".

In other words: The K'vort and B'rel are exactly the same size as far as hard canon is concerned.
