(Apologies if this is a known issue, but I couldn't find anything via the search function referring to this issue.)
I started a new Romulan toon over the weekend and just reached level 12 and could access Doff missions finally. However, I've run into an issue with a particular mission (there may be others, I just haven't looked for them yet). The Engineering Doff mission "Dilithium Mining in an Unstable Asteroid Cluster" seems to require a Fed doff to begin the assignment, despite the fact that I am aligned with the KDF faction. The slot is filled with a big Starfleet insignia and though I've tried to select the doffs that I have in my roster to fill the slot, the list is empty and I cannot select any off them.
Has anyone else run into this issue before? Is there a work around?
As always, I attempted to submit a bug report in game, but received an error.
Edit to add: I went through some of the other missions listed and there are several that seem to have the same requirement. Am I just totally missing something here? First time I've messed with Doffing on a Romulan character, so it's possible I'm doing something wrong.
Well, this morning, I could start the "Dilithium Mining in an Unstable Asteroid Cluster" assignment, but there are still many that I cannot because of the same issue with the blank space (I don't believe it's actually asking for a Fed Doff now, I think the default "empty" slot is just showing the wrong artwork...even though I do actually have Doffs that can fit in that slot but that cannot be selected to fill it).
Right now, I have more than half a dozen assignments or so that aren't showing as "red" (indicating that I don't have the duty officers to attempt them) but that I cannot fill the empty slot on due to not being able to select any Doffs (though I may not actually have the required Doff...there are too many to actually bother cross checking).
So basically my Romulan/KDF character's Doff system is all sorts of bugged up.
It quite possible is a bug indeed. But as a work around go to the exchange and buy the required opposing faction doff, they are not exclusive to buy/own

I tried that, but unfortunately I couldn't slot them in the assignments.
I'm pretty sure what's happening is that it's just not showing that some assignments are "red" to me, even though I don't have the Duty Officers to complete them. For example, I'm showing that I can do the mission "Defuse Abandoned Orbital Mine Field", so I click on the assignment to start it, but the first slot is empty and shows the Starfleet symbol in it. I remembered that that mission requires "resolve" for one of the slots, and went and bought a Romulan Doff with the trait, and was able to slot it and begin the assignment.
So it's just a glitch that's not showing that I don't have the correct Doff to start the mission. it's annoying, but I can work with it until it's fixed.
Still having this issue. It seems to only be on assignments that give 50 dilithium for some odd reason. I have the duty officers that are required, but one slot just refuses to let me assign the required officer - or any officer for that matter, of any faction (this toon is an aliengen Romulan KDF aligned, but cannot equip either of those factional doffs, nor can I equip Federation Doffs) instead it just shows as the Starfleet symbol, with the drop down list blank.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks.

Pretty annoying bug.
