Romulan character story arc mission "The Helix" bugged and cannot be completed.

Towards the end of the mission "The Helix" there's a Romulan Warbird - The Koval - that appears that I have a dialog with briefly, at that point it is not attackable and appears blue. After the dialog, I get the part of the mission where I'm supposed to defeat the Koval, but the ship is still not attackable - still blue - so I cannot progress or complete the mission. This is the first combat mission after the tutorial and away from the Flotilla.

Potentially pertinent facts:
- This is a new Romulan toon, freshly created today.
- I Used the "skip the tutorial" option to...um...skip the tutorial, and go straight to the flotilla.
