Even though the Dental event won't be until later, there's no reason people can't gather at the established place throughout the day in remembrance.

As an Academy member, I would like to donate the following.

    (1) Kemocite-Laced Weaponry I Training Manual
    (1) Kemocite-Laced Weaponry II Training Manual
    (1) Kemocite-Laced Weaponry III Training Manual

Please message me in-game to communicate where to transmit these items.

    @salazarraze

Your mailbox is full, just send them my way and I'll put them with the other prizes.
The prizes are sent off but sadly I won't possibly be able to attend until 10:30 EDT due to work considerations. Therefore I will be celebrating his life as soon as I possibly can.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

I'd be happy to donate some Tribbles. I know you guys like furry and hairy species.

The STARFLEET DENTAL Memorial Celebration/Giveaway Event is set for Thursday the 21st at 7:30 EDT on Bajor. I know the time doesn't work for everyone, but that's all I can swing this week.

If anyone has any items they'd like to donate for the event, go ahead and send them my way and I'll add them to the pool. We have a few pubbies adding to the already generous prize pool, so it should be the most generous "funeral" in STO history.

Additionally, I'm looking for any/all contest ideas for the event. If you have any ideas, send them to me in-game. No offense to my man Binks, who has graciously donated his money to Lowtax to keep an eye on this thread, but I think everyone benefits from a surprise or two. Life gets dull otherwise.

Will the Memorial be streamed on a twitch or similar for those who cannot attend?

Although I'm not Binkley (or a fishing buddy of his). I would watch a stream on twitch hitbox or YouTube.

    oh boy

Also, I don't know why you would post that chat log directly to the forums. It's obviously breaking TOS and will most likely result in mod action against you and not Bink.

    Deleted.

Just tired of seeing his insufferable abuse towards others in the game.

Yeah, Binkley is the OP of this thread. I guess his new method of avoiding another forums ban is pretending to be a Dental.

That said: the memorial this Thursday is steaming ahead, and I'm very happy to report that the prize pool has grown significantly thanks to all the donated prizes I've received from Dentals and non-Dentals alike. While these prizes aren't ships, there a lot of cool little things that you can use or fetch for a few million EC.

I will also be announcing a separate contest for the FORUMS/TWITTER ONLY for all of those people who can't make the event, but want to share in the celebration Stay tuned!

Who in their right mind would actually want to pretend to be a member of Dental? ;)

Your services are appreciated. I'll probably be sleeping during your event. (not like I deserve anything anyway) But I hope it goes well for you folks. :)

Hope it all goes well. However would not be surprised to see some new Westboro Baptist Fleet out there protesting.

I sent Nabreeki what I could afford. I'm not space rich but I wanted to contribute in some way. :)

Gently caress myself! Just standing in DS9 and go AFK for 2 minutes, only to find I was disconnected when I came back. :anguished:

See what happens when a memorial is made into a party? Thanks, guys. Much better to celebrate Mr. Yelchin's all-too-short life by celebration rather than mourning, I think. I understand why some would want to simply stand and grieve. I also respect their choice.

Gonna be tough to go see the new film knowing we'll not see Anton Yelchin again, though.

Makes me wonder how they will handle the 4th film...

Since you brought it up ill share with you my idea...

CGI Lt. Arex voiced by Chis Doohan. The only individual that replaced Chekov in canon.

Actually was just listening to news radio, and apparently the Chekov character will be retired for the foreseeable future in light of Anton's passing.
    I think that's appropriate.

And sounds like this is turning out to be a great celebration/remembrance. Can't wait to see everyone there.
Thanks for organizing this on such short notice after the other memorial was tossed to the side with little warning or respect !

***EDIT: OH, and now its "Back On" :grimace: but here's the catch, Dental is banned pfffft.... What kind of disrespectful person announces a memorial, then cancels it because they are "Burnt Out from STO"....then Re-Announces it several days later after these fine fellows from SFD pick up the dropped ball (Celebration Sphere  ) and run with it, turning it into a great celebration...
I'd rather take advice from the "Boy who Cried Wolf 359".
So disrespectful and distasteful. SMH. I hope no one shows up at this other persons "memorial".***

May donate a few items myself tonight, we've got some spare goodies from our fleet Risa giveaway. And I can't think of a greater honour then to have them gifted in Anton's name and spirit at the gathering.

Keep up the great community work.

This Memorial really hits home with TNG episode "The Next Phase". Btw what kind of booze did Chekov drink? A little bird told me Cassandra has agreed to do the eulogy for the SD Memorial. Can't wait to hear it. Are we still all required to wear all Grey?

i would assume, much like his prime counterpart, he drank vodka
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents
