It's embarrassing to make a mistake in public. To mispronounce a word, drop your pencil during a test, ask a new employer about their French Benefits. If you realize that everyone makes mistakes now and then it becomes easier to just admit to your own and move on.

Isn't Bermon a Kelvin? And Rick Berman is a Kelvan?
oh this thread is just pure gold. It started out as a typical age03 thread, but this one is really becoming something special. 9/10, just because this isn't over yet.
edit: I also love the way he writes...I never could imagine how a legasthenic reads, now I can.

How dare you Sir! I lost my left arm fighting in the battle of Bridge Commander and my toes on both feet in the skirmish of SF Academy!
Not to mention my left eye, in Armada 1 and a TRIBBLE in Armada 2!

the funnest thing is wouldn't surprise me if I was one of the youngest players here and one of my earliest memorys is of playing the Starship Bridge Simulator game.
poor age, so far off right.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Never seen that episode before, but for some reason I'm very disturbed by that scene. If their from Andromeda I hope they later had an unfortunate encounter with the Iconians ...
Pay close attention to their explanation for WHY they want to colonize the Milky Way.... I'm not saying I KNOW it's Iconians, but.... it sounds like the work of Iconians. Sooo... I think they ALREADY had an unfortunate encounter.

my first Star Trek game was the 25th anniversary adventure and judgement rites. Golden ago of point and click advantures. Those were fully voiced by the original cast and had a starship fight simulator included. In many ways I'd call it the truest ancestor to STO.
Even the computer database was accessable on the ship and gave out intresting trek trivia.

you know next time I get some money. I should get a few of the older games. I think gog.com has a few and those have never given me trouble getting to work... unlike my copy of kotor from steam.

Andromeda was being bathed in a form of radiation harmful to the Kelvans and the levels were steadily rising. The Kelvans apparently couldn't stop it and wanted to find a new place to live. It wasn't really elaborated much. But it seems like the sort of things Iconians would do.

That ship done sailed away at Warp 6. Keep provoking people and you'll just get your thread locked by a mod.
Let the jokes run their course and perhaps acknowledge that some of these folks might have a point and the threadjacking will end on its own.

Because even age 04 children don't do that when adults are present.

Imagine my surprise to discover your own choice for screen name was so inappropriate that Mods had to give you one.
Suit yourself. Watching a train wreck in progress is entertaining for only so long and there are plenty of other threads out there.
