Bridge Officers not sat on chairs correctly.

I've noticed a recurring bug on a lot of the ship bridges where bridge officers arn't sat on their chairs correctly. Instead, they end up floating just ahead of it, usually clipping through ship computers as a result. This screenshot more or less sums up what's happening.

Yep, it's affected pretty much every bridge since AoY came out.

At the risk of naysaying, don't expect it to be fixed - they admit that ship interiors, including bridges, aren't even low priority, they're 'no priority'. Which is probably true considering how long BOffs have been pressing buttons in thin air instead of facing the consoles or sitting clipping into the floor instead of on a chair on some of the bridges...

That's because AoY screwed up animations in general.

Actually, this has been a problem for years.

I honestly can't remember a time when this didn't happen.

Except before it was just the occasional bridge officer, since AoY it's every single BOff or NPC on a bridge doing it, even on bridges like the Constitution and Belfast that were previously not as buggy as the rest.

Yeah, it definitely happened at the original launch.

It does seem to be quite a bit worse now, though, and I suspect the buggy new animation system is at fault.

Yeah, I've been noticing a LOT of issues lately since AoY started. Like for this, Whenever I see a CS of someone supposed to be sitting in the Captain's seat, they're standing and I'm left staring at their crotch.

During the Spacedock section of Surface Tension, I saw a lot of Undine just standing around. When you look at the part where you survey the damage near the beginning, a body that's supposed to be floating is just standing, suspended in mid air.

AoY seems to have broken a LOT of things animation wise as well as cutscene wise. I really hope they get it together and get this all fixed, because it's annoying when you have to talk to someone's crotch.

In 2011 when I joined the bridge officers sat halfway right and most importantly all of them were present and changed seats according to how you sorted them. The same year a patch came out breaking BOFF animations like walking on away missions and sitting on bridges and even recognizing your BOFFs instead of usind unnamed placeholders.

That was in 2011. It was never worked on until recently - when AoY broke it even further.

Yeah I saw a lot of this too lately. And it seems worse. Even the dying part where some seem to be still standing.

Cryptic broke the sit_chair emote. It pushes you too far forward. They also broke the sit emote too. Now you sit cross legged staring awkwardly to one side. But that's the least of this issue; they literally broke almost every animation in this game with AoY. I shoot someone dead they fall over; stand up; fall over again. I vaporize someone and they don't vaporize they just stand there frozen in horror.
