I have a friend just yesterday get a ship on her very last key. And she only bought 20 keys. She hates JJTrek, so it was put up on the exchange today. Hopefully she can get a ship she does want if it sells.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

300 Keys x 5 Million EC (very conservative price) = 1.5 Billion EC. Ships are running for between 600-750M. Remember this math next time.

That's what I came to post.

I think with lockboxes, you really need to set yourself to a tight budget and reserve some for the next C-store investment to avoid spending too much into it.

its actually dipped below 600 a few times, in the 5's. just go the safe route and turn your keys into EC.

    How do you do that?

    How do you do that?

    buy keys for zen.

sell keys on exchange for EC.

use that EC to buy the ship you want off the exchange.

it will cost you about $120 worth of keys to get the connie, but at least its better than gambling and getting nothing.

So another thing to remember about this ship. It just hit the market 3 days ago. It's the NEW HOTNESS. There's a high demand but still a small supply.

Give it some time to stabilize. As the person I'm quoting demonstrates, the price is still fluctuating. Give the lockbox more time to get opened a lot more to get more into circulation.

Then the price will ease up a bit. It'll still be popular so it isn't going to drop down a ton. But it will settle in.

And THEN if you're really patient, wait for like two more lockboxes (so months from now) ... and it will start being part of the Infinity Lockbox.

Then the price will dip down some more.

    :)

don't forget the 10. rule Greed is eternal.

you wanted the ship you wanted the lobi and you wanted the material's ... most importantly you wanted to follow the 62. rule The riskier the road, the greater the profit.

You sir are a true Ferengi. Just keep navigating your ship with skill and grace through the mighty river's of the great material continuum and you will reach The Divine Treasury. Where you will bid for your new live ...

Never consider going to The Vault of Eternal Destitution because as long as you follow the rules in your heart you can still show profit ...:eek::D

THIS JUST IN: Gambling contains an element of risk.

    Crazy stuff, I know.

People are legendarily bad at evaluating risk. It's why we're always talking about terrorism and not about the cancers actually mowing us down.

Cut out the middle guy, flush your money down the toilet.

    Correct response.

for every 1 person who wins a ship, over 100 open boxes and get no ship.

the odds are literally stacked against you, by design.

so you have 2 choices: gamble and possibly get nothing, or buy it off the exchange.

statistically speaking you are much better off selling your keys for EC.
