Region is banned?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
I saw that maintanance is complete, tried to log in and get the message: Region is banned !!!

What is that?

I haven't done anything wroong, so it cannot be a personal ban - and it also states "REGION is banned" - whatever that means (I am from Austria). Anyone else got that Problem?

FED: 2 tacs, 1 eng, 2 scis
TOS: 1 tac
all on T5 rep (up to temporal)

    I just contacted support for this same issue.

    They are aware of it and are working on resolving it.

    ps: I'm in California about 5 miles from Cryptic too.

    your problem is with Arc? because I can't use it -banned or my country doesn't allow the connection-. i'm from france

    yes, I am using arc. But as others also seem to have the Problem and the Moogles are investigating it, it'S not just me :)

    Same problem. Germany. Already filed a ticket.

    *sigh*

    Why do they keep breaking things with an update?

    Avoiding Arc and using the launcher from the game directory works fine though.

    It's an Arc issue, not STO it seems.

    It's definitely arc. Starting the game via launcher works fine.

    It Isn't STO... As people have obviously already said, it is ARC.

    I can confirm it... Just launched it from Arc and it is region Blocked... Running the game from Steam or directly from the base files will run it just fine.

    Seems to have been resolved for me. I am logged in through Arc now.

    A few hours ago I was getting this error on the FORUM, just so people know - I tried to log in and it said "Region is banned". It's OK now, though, hence why I can say so :-D The odd thing was, while this was going on, the GAME worked fine for me. I'm in the UK.

    Silly me, i clicked on this thread when i thought it read "religion is banned"
