reclaiming a small ship from dry docks doesn't activate it

if you put your small ship into the dry docks, then get it back out it seems it doesn't appear under your small ships anymore (it's in the ship selector, but not in your character/active ship list, so you have to discard, then reclaim it.
i did that to try fixing the age-old bug where after you claim a new ship (new risian one in this case), character overview info page breaks the active ship and always shows the small ship no matter what you have, but apparently drydocking doesn't work with it.
