Sort of an aside, but I did like Kruge back in III - he seemed sort of on the outs with the Empire's government in terms of resources, but was clever dealing with Kirk.
And I can understand Kruge's rage - as far as he knew, all the Genesis specialists he desperately wanted had been blown up because the gunner wanted his own glory ('lucky shot') than follow his orders. He has an interesting place on the Klingon spectrum.

He's definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite... 100% commited to the mission and its implications for the Empire... I absolutely loathed Chang (especially the chair-spinning moment) He was the kind of Klingon Worf dreamed of being...
I finally got the first part of this done for my AoY character, enjoy Tangential Connections
I rather liked it
Glad you enjoyed it - I hope to get a second, possibly shorter, for once, chapter from Dean's perspective out soon on the two of them figuring out what exactly they're signed up for.

That'll definitely be cool, and give the opportunity to learn more about Dean as well My only beef with regards the length, was that it almost felt like two stories to me, ie the investigation and battle being one, and the starbase sequence being another... If anything, if you get to writing a piece about Dean, maybe re-format so the end of the battle is the end of the first piece, then with the starbase and Dean's entrance (or Dean's perspective and then the meeting) as the second But as it was, it was fine, I'm just being picky
I don't know if it would flow better as one unit except for forum lengths or not.
I think if it was all as one post, I think it might read as two stories butted up against each other, rather than two seperate stories, but of course, it's your choice of presentation
When I wrote Beach of Dreams, I wasn't expecting it to have so many references and threads to The Table Turns, but everything just kind of pulled together (The real surprize, was that Jeran had given Marcus the shirt he wearing, but then again, as she (and Marin Tial) said, they were very good friends )
Okay, so does anybody want to volunteer to pick and post the prompts for ULC 26? Timing doesn't really work for me but I can do it if nobody else does.

I'd like to give it a try! When should it be posted though?

@marcusdkane - At your humble request from reading my ULC 22 entry: Beach of Dreams was a great piece! Although there were Tom Clancy-level amount of characters, each had a subtle intro and outro that made it very manageable (thank the stars) to read. This was a good bounce from the ULC 22 prompt. If I may Carcharodon is a humorously ironic name for a Miranda-class ship

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it The amount of characters was a two-fold thing... I didn't want to jump straight into the nexus without the crew of the station making appearance (I actually chopped the appearance from the nineteen names I came up with ) and once in the nexus, the question I had, was: How would the nexus respond to a joined Trill... I figured that would create a much more crowded environment than what Picard experienced, and just went with what came through As for the Carcharodon, the ship name and her captain, were homages to FM Busby's Star Rebel (There were actually many references and homages to various things across this piece) which I'd wanted to show for some time. I'd previously made a partial reference to an MU version of the Carcharodon being Miranda-class, so felt I ought to stick with that classification... Mostly, I wanted to avoid the cliche of Marcus being the one to come running to Jeran's rescue... Thank you again
Finally finished my prompt for Nexus, and decided to post it. Please offer opinions, as I tried to do the previous one justice with an epic-ish and mysterious conclusion.
P.S. Edit: please also take into consideration, I am currently sick and wrote the latter half, half-asleep, so forgive any errors in writing.

I rather liked it I really enjoyed the imagery and scenarios, and thought it all flowed really nicely together

There is a dreamlike quality to the writing - this is a very evocative piece.

Interesting little story. Your take on it, more than a cover but actively dangerous to history, is interesting. (And the Perseus is such a trim little ship)

Thank you for reading! Admittedly, this version is about the 5th as I just was not happy with a lot of ideas I put to paper. My hope is to catch up to everyone by ... Soon.
