so looking forward to finally create a TOS captain and fly around in the 23rd century starships. I've already got the temporal special agent pack ages ago and just completed the risa rep system for the Vorgon ship unlock and booked a few days of work next week so i have some time to play STO "Agents of Yesterday" :-D

I am also super exited, have not played for over a month now, tired of my old char and convinced myself to wait to create another one till the expansion is out.

Also hope we will know how the Kelvin ships will be released so I know where I should throw my money.

Heh. All the boxes getting opened right now with the Infinity Boxes will be nothing compared to what's gonna happen when the Kelvin Boxes come out.

    @nikeix

Yep, but I figured most were smart enough to draw that inference.

It's going to be in a lockbox. I'd bet my Veteran Bridge Officer on it. Not that I'm happy about it, but I think anyone behaving as if there's a chance of them hitting the C-Store is fooling themselves, quite epically.

My enthusiasm will be held off. Until I see when we getting a T6 Connie and/or Refit. Not the JJ junkers. Without those, I have not much a need to level one past the starting missions. Mostly to see how they get started. After that, back to my main 3 to see what new Lv60 missions they are. Since I won't do the Lv40 new one. Where I'm way past that, and won't fit in with their current missions.

I'm cautiously excited atm, the distribution method for the JJ-verse goodies is a big part of my caution, cause my TOS toon just HAS to have those uniforms.

JJ in the store, and a T6 TOS Connie with access to the Excalibur skin will be enough to put me over the top with excitement. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go pray for a Vorgon lockbox announcement tomorrow ...

Gotta admit I'm pretty jazzed about next week. But I am going to stop playing STO until the week afterwards. Why? Because by then any bugs which were reported but not addressed by the Devs will be repaired. The nonsense will also have seven days to sort itself out. I lost a great many fleetmates and game friends to the Japori 17xXP fiasco started by the previous EP and Geko.

I hope the Devs are smart enough to learn from past mistakes but I already know better based upon their body of work.

Another issue popped up. Unless they give us a character slot like they did the Delta Recruit. I won't be able to do a new character for the AOY. And I'm not about to delete an older character. Since I have spent a lot of time and rescources to build them up. My lowest Lv is my Lv40 Sci. Which I could consider to cut, but I would really hate to.

yeah the next week should be interesting.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

I'm hesitant. I took a long break from this game...but the chance to play in the 23rd century drew me back to it. So, I guess I am pretty excited for it.

i'm really not excited, because I don' like the TOS stuff (except the films), I don't know if i'm going to create a new fed toon only for few missions. currently, I delete all my fed toons, still 1 to delete (after the refinement of his dilithium), because the federation is not appealing to me. And if the TOS toon becomes a generic fed at level x or y, there is no reason for me to create such a character.
All the temporal stuff is not interesting, and sometimes just a bad idea.
And I won't do a event which would be like the delta recruitment event (too boring).
I'm not interested by the new ships (all of them), and finally like the jj stuff will be in a box, it is not for me.

But, i'm really curious to see this new expansion released. this is always a good thing to have more things added in game. everyone can not be satisfied at the same time. maybe the next expansion will be more interesting for me :)

I hope you aren't talking about the pic, cuz the MPAA totally missed out on the Full Frontal Nudity when they rated the movie PG for action and crude humor.

I am also quite excited. (As is the whole dev team)

From the dev side, after working on something for MONTHS, it's so nice to finally boot it out the door. I know that the netops guys and programmers who will need to fight fires the first few days may not look forward to it as much, but I think everyone is happy to see an update finally go out.

And on top of all of the normal release excitement, I think so many on the dev team are particularly stoked with AoY because there were so many little nods and tidbits we were able to squeeze in from the original series. This update is something special for us.

I have to admit, this is been on my mind a lot, specially since I've seen both ships in the trailer.

Not sayin it would ruin my enthusiasm for the AOY launch if they ended up in a lotobox, but it would definitely be a big disappointment for me to have to rely on chance to get one, or both.

My computer was top of the line about 5 years ago when I bought it, but I noticed that it's been struggling lately, items will just appear out of nowhere, when I make a quick turn. like walls on ESD, or the flying high trails on Risa, suddenly appear out of nowhere when I get closer to them.

I had been planning to upgrade my computer, but the excitement I felt for AOY, made me bite the bullet and I bought a new one so I'd be on point for launch. I don't want to miss a single detail ! :p

Yep, one of the Tribble patch notes specifically mentioned an extra character slot. If they haven't officially announced yet, I'm sure they will by or before it goes live.

Oh yes.. I wouldn't doubt that for a moment after what I've seen/played on tribble.. AoY is clearly made by fans for fans and if one (re)watches the show(s) (esp. TOS, but also the Kelvin Timeline movies) this even becomes more evident. I'm very much looking forward to the release of AoY and already want to thank everyone who works/worked on it!!! You all did an exceptional job!!! <3 *^_^* \\//, LLAP
