I got the huge pack. Without the huge pack, I'd be sorely tempted by all of them except the Starfleet science ships... have never liked the ball/wheel designs.
Yeah - that was the reason I purchased the Temporal Agent Pack. I know I'd only have wound up buying the ships individually anyway.
This is why my biggest STO regret is not buying the Legacy Pack when LoR came out. I bought the Starter Pack, and wouldn't you know it, I've never ever used that T5 T'Varo. But over time, as I rolled more Romulans, I found myself lamenting not owning the other lower tier ships, and wound up buying a few of them anyway, in total probably spending enough that a Legacy PAck would have been the better choice.
There's a part of me still contemplating the Temporal Agent pack, on the extremely off chance I roll another TOS toon or two (I normally like to have one of each division for each faction), but given how our TOS toons literally just roll into the Fed faction seamlessly, I highly doubt I will. What's more likely is I'll buy all the leveling ships so I can at least level in proper TOS style, which should be doable without topping out at big pack costs, but even then, at that point why not just buy the big pack?
Ugh. This is tough. One choice is practical short-term but may bite me long-term, the other may be a better long-term choice that will be excessive in the short term unless I do eventually roll more toons...
While the new Romulan ships aren't exactly ugly, they also aren't sexy. They look too much like the ugly t5 Scimitars with the very weird and vulnerable looking thin wings which basically serve no purpose and raise a lot of questions about the huge waste that goes into making completely useless enormous spoilers that can't be repaired without spacewalking and too little like the super sexy Faeht, the only ship in its class and the only ship which uses that aesthetic and armor plating. If the new ships were designed using the aesthetic that led to the Faeht (I don't mean using the same hull design), I would be more inclined to purchase them.
I'd also like to add that watching any of the Scimitar lookalike ships turn is the most ridiculous thing ever because those giant spoiler wings look super stupid on a moving ship. The wing size is too disproportionate to the hull size and hang down way too far below the hull and are simply too thin.
For people saying "Trek-like" do realize that our allies, the Klingons and Romulans, have likely helped us make these ships. So by saying "hey, I don't like them, because they aren't Trek", you basically are saying "hey, I don't like the help I receive from my allies". Same goes for the 31st Century, and how knows who helped us with building those.
I think our Klingon, Romulan and soon to be other friends might not take too kindly to that.

More seriously, mix and match with the 23rd Century pieces if you really want to make it look more 25th Century. Toss on the Type 7 skin and away you go. I'm sure we can all come up "official" with 25th century designs by using the two model types and the Type 7 skin.
Nobody "helped" build those. These are artistic renderings of an artist's imagination. The ships look like whatever the artist wanted the ship to look like so the ships are based on the artist's own biases. Remember that this is a video game where art assets are not the result of engineering but the result of an artist creating a statue.
