    Underwhelmed
Im underwhelmed because of the lack of free leveling ships, if the pioneer is the only free leveling ship, then the "expansion" is a blatent money grab, and cash in on the 50th anni of trek.

Im hoping they are saving the bulk of the free leveling ship as a suprise at launch, but i doubt this is the case so for me definatley underwhelmed.

None of the above, I'm not overwhelmed, underwhelmed or disappointed. Mostly just anxious to see what becomes of it.

Missed a couple of fairly obvious gradations there. Of course when you LEAP headlong into your own poll to tell us how much you think something sucks, that lack of care comes as no real surprise...

    Seconded.

What was on Tribble can't be everything so very much anxious to see the rest in its glory.

Uhm i never said it "sucked" the poll question is a straight to the point unbiased question, i then voted and gave my reasoning why i voted the way i did.

The question remains unbiased, so its up to the voter to decide where they stand on the question given.

I was hoping for around 30 levels of TOS experience complete with a 23rd century spacedock. I mean, I assumed this would be the case, much like New Romulus. It's been a sad disappointment that it's just an alternate Fed tutorial.

I'm perfectly welmed by everything I've seen so far from this expansion. Now, if you'd asked me if I was excited, I'd have said that I'm really excited for this expansion.

Overwhelmed. This expansion is the end result of a secret pact made by a small, courageous group of players who had very specific desires for their Star Trek game. And against all odds, including but not limited to forum flaming, forum moderation, frequently created threads and forum bans, what we all know is right and good in Star Trek won out.

    The day is carried.

I'm overwhelmed at the unity and effort it took to get this expansion made against such clear cut bias. But it's almost finally here! A few of us are getting our heart's desire! After so many years of not only watching everyone else get their desires for other things, but being told "no" to what we wanted time and time again by people claiming to be backed up by some authoritative source that never actually existed!

    - TOS themed adventures
    - TOS redesigned ESD
    - New Constitution Model, way more accurate
    - Rumors of a lockbox containing an end-game ship or ships from the current films
    - A T6 capability for the Daedalus!
    - More engagement with original crew members
    - Old school Gorn
    - The temporal cold war and battle of prochyon and Enterprise J inspired ships
    - a celebration of the 50th anniversary
    - A jaunt through time that may include stops in all time periods as a lead up to integration with the new tv series

It's massively overwhelming. The game is boldly going in places it's never been before. And I'll be flying there in my retro 60s preferred style!

There should be an option that regards the content as sufficient or satisfactory. The poll you have posted has one potentially positive response and two that are negative. Underwhelmed and disappointed could arguably be the same thing. Since the amount of content available on Tribble seems a bit sparse to many, it is doubtful that anyone is overwhelmed with the content.

I for one regard the available content as being excellent although I am concerned about the possibility that there may not be much more. That being said, Tribble is not the only avenue Cryptic uses for testing so I will reserve judgement until the expansion releases. If memory serves, the ships released with Delta Rising were all additional purchases so this expansion is at least providing more free-to-fly options.

I dig where ya coming from, just wish they had more free ships and more missions, im happy were finally getting full on TOS stuff and a redesigned connie, just wish there was alot more then what feels like a cheesy money grab.

And so your gonna be going all retro in the golfball? read the other thread :)

Overwhelmed suggests that I can't handle what's coming in the expansion, or that it's too much for me, which isn't the case.

It's just right. Hence the "perfectly whelmed" part of my comment. :D

few mission for the not even a minifaction, only feds in the faction. no d-7 so far, no kdf or rom temporal ships at all... and no cross faction don't count their not for kdf or rom, their cross faction and fed designs too.

really seems like they droped the ball on this, I was happier before we got any info on it. I'm personally amazed the manged to so heavily kill the joy for this. I didn't think it could be done. in less they have several huge thing they haven't said again about I'm calling worse then delta. sure leveling kinda sucked but everything else was pretty good.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    Underwhelmed I'd bad.
    Disappointed is bad.

    Where's the positive choice?

Even if, in some language other than English, overwhelmed is good, that's one positive choice vs 2 negative ones. Good way to skew poll results.

When it comes to content, overwhelmed is a good thing imho. I se disappointed as sort of a middle ground, I personally am happy with the amount of content and new stuff coming, but I'm very disappointed that the TOS faction seems to only have 6 exclusive missions.

    possibly

overwhelmed = oh my god I'm so excited then a fangirl getting a kisss from [insert whoever they fangirls over]

    underwhelmed = don't care/meh.

disappointed = not happy about this at all.

at least thats how I took it.

I'm on the fence on this. I will still play it, at least to the point to where I keep the perks. Then put my AOY captain stationed at ESD. Until I get around to it. Until then, they will make a nice bank.

    Good:
    * TOS theme and playing with the ships.
    * New character to play with

    Bad:
    * Going by the rumors. Only playing a few missions then you redoing all the Arcs again. I'm fighting time travel guys. Why in the world I need to do all those Arcs again? I rather be dropped off in 2410 with the rest of my characters. Going by this, its not an expansion. Just another recruit event to get you doing all those arcs again.
    * No free TOS ships to level up with. So basically I'm using ships I already have been. LOR you got all kinds of new ships to play with. Once again this is not an expansion, just a recruit event.

From what I saw it's almost all the same grind mechanics with a different coat of paint.
    Specialisation, check
    Reputation, check
Rerolling a new character for account rewards, check.....only thing we haven't had that I've seen is another lockbox and I'm sure that's coming anytime now.

I'm just about motivated to log in for short dailies but this might be the beginning of me giving up on STO completely I've not really bothered to think about it. Put it this way, it's been a painful task just to get 17/20 items from the scavenging accolade because the games so messed up and I'm a dedicated accolade hunter so if I can't do this one thing I can't see me doing the grind fest that's coming.

Yet more powers than we know what to do with, more inbalance and broken mechanics...but this is what the community wants if it's making Cryptic money so expect more of this until it becomes unprofitable.

"Underwhelmed" and "disappointed" are pretty much synonymous. This is hardly an "unbiased" poll; it's more akin to demanding yes or no answers and then asking, "Have you stopped beating your wife?"

Personally, I'm whelmed. I can't judge the expansion until I play it, now can I?

Like to change my vote to unerwhelmed.

I have high hopes and wishes that we were only revealed the tip of the iceberg. That there is "as much as the romulan faction" still out there.
I wasnt around when they rolled out the rom faction to see or feel how that went at the time.

I want it to be awesome, but right now it seems a little anemic.

    So im still holding out.

Disappointed because there is no other info besides "buy this pack to get lots of ships" What about ships that you use to level up? "Buy this big pack and get lots of ships" What are the stats of the regular ships? Here are the stats from the big pack of ships that you can buy. Are there more episodes than LoR? The expansion is about the size of LoR, but we'll only show a few missions. Look, it's the TOS Era, but a couple missions in, and your flung into current timeline.
    PVP doesn't even get fixed......again.
    Romulans and Klingons get ignored.......AGAIN.

Is there really anything to really sell the veteran players on this "New Expansion"? Or will it become the: "This new expansion is the best and players love it" again.
