Resolved an issue which was causing excessive load times when loading into Risa.

With any luck, they've fixed the actual problem and reworked the artifact scan lines entirely rather than, say, adding "flush red lines" to the weekly maintenance downtime.

You're in luck! We fixed the actual problem.
And reduced the red scanning line duration to around 0.5 seconds! Blink and you'll miss them.

For real? It went from "persists indefinitely" to "barely visible"?

And still showing on load, sometimes.
What? That shouldn't happen. Fixing the underlying problem should mean that the red lines are deleted as soon as they are no longer relevant, not simply swept up a bit more frequently.

I logged in last night, and just as it finished the loading screen and Risa appeared, I saw about a dozen pairs of lines around Qwen's camp, then they disappeared a few seconds later.

Yeah. It's especially bad in heavy brush, where not much of the line would be visible anyway. Now you have to get to a flat spot, and make sure that you're looking at your feet when you press the button.
Yup, been having the "red lines of DOOM!" showing up for the last hour or so when loading into Risa. Getting some SNR's as well when logging in, but only for about 7-10 seconds.
But, it seems the problem is still there and may be getting worse. Was looking forward to some more Risa time this weekend but I'll have to wait and see how things are under load.

Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
