The mission 'Ultimate Klingon'

I have so far redone the bulk of the mission twice, but cannot seem to hail and complete the mission when I reach the end of the mission, and I beam out, I will go to sector space, where I am told to go and talk to the scientist, in which I have done the whole section already, there is no way to complete the mission from what I see, I assume this is a bug in the campaign?

I don't remember how meaningful that choice is, but what plan did you choose when you entered his base? I completed it normally just yesterday, I choose "trap him," talked to him, he released augmented Gorn, then talked to him again and the mission completed.
