If anything about AOY is a mistake, it's the 60's devotion, the interior of both Kor's and the Orions only look like a Connie's due to TOS's budget, STO doesn't have that problem, which could also mean we can see some SF bolt weapons: Compression pistol, Blast assault(which i think could be given a dish like those 60/70's Godzilla movie maser tanks).
That said, AOY can still stay as is, the above is all an opinion.

They'll keep the 9 ship packs. And then sell a separate AoY "skins" pack to the audience clamoring for retro. Best of Both Worlds!
