"We can't go to Vulcan! You already risked enough by sending those messages! Do you want Leeta to find out you've got this ship?!"
"At this point Marion, I hardly think that we can stay out of the Empires notice for much longer we've left a large number of wrecks in our wake..." Victoria countered.
"Why did you send that anyway? Did it not cross your mind that it could be intercepted?"
"Of course it did! What should interest you is the reply..." Victoria pushed a PADD closer to Marion.
He leaned over the table a look of confusion crossing his face. "That's my name! How, I, what!?... I've changed my mind we're going to Vulcan!"

Captain Sara Alexander was sat on the bridge, ops reported "Maam, you've got a message coming through for you", Alexander had the message transferred to her ready room and left the bridge to take the message.
When she opened the message her heart dropped, the message was from Admiral Valdez and it read "The Inquisition has your entire family and if you do not return to Terra and surrender, there will be consequences for them, I send you my regards", Alexander knew she had just made a terrible mistake in not killing Valdez when she had the chance and now he had made it personal by targeting her loved ones.
"If Admiral Leeta finds out I failed to kill Valdez, I'm a dead woman" was the thought running through Sara's mind, she was interrupted by her first officer and long time adviser Commander Hiroshi. "Maam, how bad is it?" he asked Sara, she flipped round the the terminal and Hiroshi's reaction said it all, "Maam, I don't know what to say ", Sara carried on listening to Hiroshi. "I've looked through Valdez's service record, he was once a deputy commander under Admiral Nayta Lot and if he survived Lot, we're in trouble".
"How so" asked Sara, Hiroshi's answer was to the point, "One of the tricks he picked up from Admiral Lot is his use of Betazoids as his secret police and personal guard and the last people to try and overthrow him are all now being worked to beyond breaking point for the rest of their lives" pointed out Hiroshi. "He's now a deputy commander attached to Admiral Sito Thay's first assault fleet by Imperial Command and a very skilled strategist and tactician, an officer you do not want to be on the bad side of and in his mind, we just declared war on him" Hiroshi finished of with.
"Maybe the message is a bluff to force us to surrender" Suggested Sara, Hiroshi just came out with it, "Valdez does not bluff and if he's tracked down your family, the Inquisition will already have them" Hiroshi pointed out.
"If we surrender we're all die traitor's deaths and if we try and fight this, Valdez and the rest of the empire will hunt us down and Valdez will have some imaginative ways of hurting us" Sara pointed out before finishing "either way, we're as good as dead".
Admiral Valdez was sat in his ready room with Lt Com Teanna Bray and Commander Solat for his mid morning political and tactical briefing. "Did that message get through to our potential allies?" asked Valdez, "It did Nathan" replied Solat. "Well ladies, the fact of the manner is we need allies, we cannot face Leeta with what forces we have available to us at the moment" Valdez quickly paused then carried on, "Leeta's temporal weapons have been tearing our forces apart and our losses are mounting".
Solat agreed and asked "whats the political office's view" to Bray, "They're keeping a lid on it at the moment, the last thing the empire needs is panic and dissidents getting ideas." Bray responded. "Good" Valdez replied, "What about that traitorous snake Sara Alexander?, I think by now she'll have read my message" Valdez said laughing, "You really are taking this personally Nathan" replied Solat, she finished with, "You're enjoying this making Captain Alexander suffer". "Damn right I am, nobody plays me and gets away with it" answered Valdez.
As Lt Cmd Bray and Commander Solat both left the ready room, Lt T'vik reported "you've got a message admiral and it's bearing a temporal signature". "I've been expecting this, I'll take it in my ready room" Valdez requested. It was encoded to Valdez's DNA print, the meeting he had requested was a go, they were to meet at a undisclosed location somewhere in the Vulcan system, "Krasnova, signal the strike group and engage our cloaks, We're going to Vulcan", Krasnova acknowledged the order and the strike group set off at maximum warp.

It's a great speech from a great episode.
Nice Caesar reference. Julius Caesar famously said the die is cast when he crossed the Rubicon with his army to march on Rome which sparked a series of civil wars that brought down down the Roman Republic and was the herald of the rise of the Roman Empire.

I am pleased to report that the Terran administration into the Gorlan System has been met with little resistance.
Long range scans of the region confirm the presence of the rebel fleet. Admiral Gardner has ordered an entire assault fleet to pass through this station within the next two days. They'll be tasked with the utter destruction of all the alien trash in the neighbouring sector. Admiral Gardner is confident the destruction of the rebel fleet will convince the remaining rebels to give up their struggle against the Terran Empire.
Admiral Black has been chosen to supervise the battle against the rebels, he will arrive here tomorrow to assume command of the I.S.S. Avenger. With him leading our forces our victory is all but assured.
You can use the Valdez character as well, may have to make a quick stop in the 23rd century as well to carry out a temporal assassination on Spock to save the original Terran Empire from falling

"I checked the timeline, and did some digging through the ships historical data base for Admiral Valdez... Significant historical events, loyalty, his ship, -that sort of thing." Zalnos went on not stating his reservations about their current situation again. "Tactically he's a genius... Loyalty to the Empire is unquestionable. His opinion of us however, may be a different story... Keep in mind Victoria, we don't know from where or how much he knows about us."
Looking across the bridge Victoria regarded the Commander for a moment considering his words again. "You worry to much, the entity won't abandon the ally it needs to extract its revenge, for all his threats he can't let me die. And if this is a trap well... That's that the dreadnought group's for... And making a statement that we do have resources at our disposal and not just the Vendetta."
"Remember: don't reveal more than you need to... And don't let Ran'Karsork feed on any of the Admirals men... You want to reveal us to the Empire; then this is certainly one way to do it... Although it may have been better to stay off the sensor grid so to speak for a bit longer. Leeta and Sito will learn about this, and there goes both the mysterious unknown starship crushing Leeta's task groups, and the possibility of you being impersonated."
"We'll deal with that when the time comes, now let's get going shall we my dear!.... Oh and have three of our Mobius escorts fall into the formation.." Victoria stood up. I.S.S. Inquisitor strike group, Vulcan System (Mirror Universe)
In the war room of the Inquisitor, Valdez was studying the the Vulcan system working out where to put his pieces as his insurance policy. "You suspect a trap, Nathan? asked Solat, Valdez understood perfectly what Solat meant, "Solat, always expect the unexpected and if this is a possible trap, I want to be ready as a precaution." Solat looked over the system map and the different types of ships in the strike group.
At his command, he had the core of his group five Eclipse class hunter killers all retrofitted with Preserver and Iconian technology formed up as a wedge, the I.S.S. Nobunaga and I.S.S. Tokogawa positioned on the left flank. Positioned on his right flank were the I.S.S. Crown Prince and I.S.S. Forrest with the Inquisitor as the point of the wedge. On each wing he positioned his ten Phantoms in two groups of five ships on the left and right of his cruiser wedge with six Scryers operating as a picket and skirmish line to cover his cruisers.
"Have our flanking forces engage their cloaks and stay hidden in the planetary debris left over from Alliance occupation" Valdez calmly ordered and the Phantoms moved to their covering positions. "If they attempt to ambush us, we repay them with the same mischief" Valdez pointed out to Solat, she agreed.
"They could be suspecting us of setting a trap, it's logical on their part" Solat said in her very cold Vulcan tone.
Valdez listened to the advise carefully to weigh up his options, "makes sense but the Phantoms have a dual purpose here, we don't want any snoopers from our empire at the meeting" Valdez replied back. "We have no idea how far Leeta's influence has spread" pointed out Solat, she quickly paused and finished with "but it's good to take precautions just in case".
There came a call from the bridge, it was Lt Cmd Bray, "All ships are in position Admiral" she reported back, "Excellent, now we wait" Valdez said in his usual dry humoured tone.

Mirror Wars 3, a possible prequel to the events of "In a Mirror Darkly"?
It's an interesting idea, tying in mirror wars with Star Trek Enterprise.
"Admiral's confidential log Stardate 2410/9
Things are running smoothly, My meeting with the other Empire's Empress O'Brien has proceeded without any outside interference. Her armada is an impressive show of force which could tip the strategic balance of this war in our favour. Admiral Sito will be mad about this, but she can be placated by the extra forces and their temporal fire power.
Empress O'Brien has proven to be a shrewd negotiator countering my more than fair terms. My terms were the current empire has leadership but she countered with a 50/50 equal partnership in prosecuting this war. I'm forced to agree on this concession, sometimes it's better dealing with the devil you know.
The amount of intel she has on me and my strike group is scary but she knows my loyalty to the empire is unquestionable and I don't betray my allies. In other news, word has got back from Terra. The Scheer has surrendered after Captain Alexander's first officer removed her from command and confined her to the brig.
I look forward to having a "friendly chat" with her, computer end log"
..............................................
Admiral Valdez was on the holodeck with Lt Cdr Bray. They were refighting one of Terra's most famous battles, the Battle of Pharsalus with Valdez playing the role of Caesar.
"Interesting way of keeping tactically sharp" Bray commented before they were interrupted by a message from the bridge. "What is it" Valdez asked sharply, "It's the Scheer sir, a Cdr Hiroshi would like to speak to you." ops reported back. "On my way, Teanna we'll finish this later" replied Valdez and both officers went to the bridge. "Admiral Valdez, we're sending you a gift, she should be being beamed over right now" Cdr Hiroshi reported.
Valdez marched straight down to the transporter room with two of his Betazoid bodyguards and took delivery of the traitor, "You weak coward!!!" Sara Alexander shouted at Valdez spitting at him. Pulling out his phaser pistol, Valdez stunned Captain Alexander and had her dragged off for interrogation. "Valdez to Solat, disable the Scheer's weapons, engines, communications and shields and tell our new friends we send them a gift"
Solat followed the order and the Inquisitor unleashed a volley of antiproton fire leaving the Scheer drifting in space. "Betrayal repaid" Valdez calmly said.
Teanna Bray got to work on Captain Alexander as Valdez walked in to supervise the interrogation and asked "Why side with the enemy, prisoner 4413?", "My name is Sara Alexander!!" she shouted back. "Prisoner 4413, we're going to play a game, the rules are I ask the questions and you answer them. My colleague here will know if you are lying or hiding something" Valdez calmly said as he walked around the table.
Captain Alexander at first refused to co-operate, "I'm dead anyway" she screamed. Valdez calmly asked "What did Leeta offer you to betray us", "no comment" replied Alexander. "She's hiding something" Bray said calmly. "Was it a governership if Leeta wins control or was it that post of admiral you were after?" Valdez asked.
Alexander's response was clear cut "If Leeta finds out I've spoken to you, she'll have me disappear", "If you don't co-operate, I'll give the order to fire on your ship's life support system" Valdez calmly said bringing up the crippled Scheer on screen, "Your call" Valdez finished with. "What about my family?" asked Alexander. "If you start co-operation, I'll order their release, I don't want to resort to using other methods to get information but I will if I have to" Valdez replied back. "Now what did Leeta offer you to betray us?" Valdez asked again. "I was offered the Bajor Sector overseer post in exchange for removing Admiral Sito and her supporters", "She's telling the truth", Bray reported. "Send a message through to the Inquisition, message reads the Alexander family is to be released but kept under surveillance at all time." Valdez ordered.
"Now, how many officers within Imperial High Command are working for Leeta?, I want names, ships and what fleets they are in." Valdez asked politely. "We could use the booth" Teanna suggested. "No torture, it's counter productive Teanna" Valdez pointed out.
After a 4 hour interrogation, Alexander came clean with names, ships and the fleets they were in. Some of these traitors were in Admiral Sito's first assault fleet. "Valdez to ops, send a secure message to Hathon with all the traitor's names and their ship names, The good admiral will find it of interest to her."
"Send our new friends the other traitor's names and ships in the Vulcan sector" Valdez ordered and a secure message was passed onto Empress O'Brien.
"Now what to do with you prisoner 4413?" Valdez asked Alexander, "I could have you put against a bulkhead and shot or I could let Admiral Sito deal with you and she is not forgiving at all to traitors" Valdez said looking at Alexander. Valdez went over to the comms console and wrote out his message reading "To Admiral Sito Thay, I have a traitor in custody who co-operated under interrogation. She's all yours for you to deal with at your own discretion, from Admiral Valdez", Valdez sent the message to Hathon. "Valdez to strike group, set course for Bajor maximum warp"

I don't think the 22nd Century empire will be expecting 25th century Terran strike groups, it'll make Archer's discovery of the USS Defiant look like a small toy. @thay8472 , How are you going to deal with Sito and Lot's heritages?, Betazed was conquered by the empire in the 2230s and Bajor conquered in the 2250s.

As for Lot, right now ... she'll pretend to have a disease called Aniridia, which means she lacks a Iris as for her other abilities, she just wont tell them.

That's one way of sorting that issue, looks like my Betazoid guard will have to stay on the ship. Lucky I have a Vulcan and a few Terrans to fall back on at least. thay, I sent Sito a prisoner she may be interested in having a chat with.

@thay8472 Here's Mirror Valdez, with the mirror version of the kelvin admiral uniform

If you have the time, could you fill out one of these forms.
Form
Admiral Sito
Anyway have some spoilers!

I.S.S. Inquisitor strike group, Vulcan Sector (mirror Universe)

Funny sutherland.
Victoria isn't actually empress, she is insane and thinks it's her birthright in her time line.
"Certificate of Death?!?!? Who dared send this? They will pay with their lives! "
I hope to have a interesting report by Zalnos, from Procyon 5 When I get home from the Canadian wilderness.
The Foundry, and my love of Star Trek
I don't think the 22nd Century empire will be expecting 25th century Terran strike groups, it'll make Archer's discovery of the USS Defiant look like a small toy. @thay8472 , How are you going to deal with Sito and Lot's heritages?, Betazed was conquered by the empire in the 2230s and Bajor conquered in the 2250s.
-Lord Commander Solar Macharius
As for Lot, right now ... she'll pretend to have a disease called Aniridia, which means she lacks a Iris as for her other abilities, she just wont tell them.
Though I'll wait for @galatt 's seal of approval.
Looking at her Iris here though ... it's brown ... :O @galatt is Naynta a hybrid too?
That's one way of sorting that issue, looks like my Betazoid guard will have to stay on the ship. Lucky I have a Vulcan and a few Terrans to fall back on at least. thay, I sent Sito a prisoner she may be interested in having a chat with.

Long live the Empire!
I know you're in here, Mr J.
She felt it was"poetic justice". Its also the reason she sometimes has issues with Bajorans
Dare I ask who the unlucky Bajoran was?
