I'd start with the 2800 as mini-series kicking off the show and move into the Solonae Sphere for the first proper season.
    • Season 2 - Iconian war
    • Season 3 - Temporal Shenanigans
    • Mini-series 2 - Making it in the TOS era
    • Season 4 - Andromeda

The thing to keep in mind that STO hasn't been structured as a television series. There's a lot included to build the setting, which is hugely important for a persistent world RPG (it's mostly setting). But a TV series (especially these days) needs to hit the ground running and it doesn't have the luxury to spend a complete season filling out the details of minor factions. Get to the point and if something needs to be flushed out (ex. the Romulan backstory) then dedicate a few episode plots/sub-plots to it.

I did actually think (briefly) when the new ST series was announced that it might be centred on Va'kel Shon and the Odyssey-Class Enterprise-F given that STO is officially licensed and all.

STO was originally supposed to have a TV series tie-in, but it fell through without much ceremony...i think it was back when perpetual still had the license
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"

"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

DS9 spend a lot of time buildnig the setting before it actually went to the Dominion War. Of course, that was not something planned from the start (AFAIK).

It depends a bit of whether it will have a lot of filler episode or will be tightly focused. Trek normally has a lot of stand-alone episodes that are just there to present the moral tale of the day.

I wouldnt want to see it adapted frankly.... but for giggles
    • Feature Film - Hobus supernova and how all 3 factions handled/responded/adapted to it
    • Mini-series in 2406-7 D'Twerp and crew organizing his proto-Republic and dealing with the Klingon attacks into RSE Space (pseudo-documentary style, kinda like the new BSG)
    • 2408 - 2hr Series premier - Virinat from start to end of the fight with the Monbosh
    • Season 1 - Greatly expand upon the formation of the Republic and (re)discovery of Dewa III.
    • Season 1 Offseason - Mini-show(similar to Agent Carter) From Klingon perspective, dealing with a single Klingon Captain and his ship's adventures in 2408 as he participates in attacks against Romulan worlds and fights the Federation. (start of a meta-plot for this off season series where elements of Undine and Iconian manipulation begin to get unearthed slowly)
    • Season 2 - Fed perspective - Follow Sugihara and T'nae as they have to handle the Klingon war, RSE, Reman Rebels, and finally the Khitomer conferance regarding Dewa III. End season withe Temer's sacrifice.
    • Season 2 Offseason - Expand on Fek'lhri arc, tie in more hints at "demons of air and darkness" pulling strings.

at that point see if series is dead or continues :P

STO isn't canon, and neither are any of the books.
