I wonder what repercussions in the past will take place as a result of all of these star fleet officers suddenly disappearing.
I remember seeing a movie called "Millennium" staring "Kris Kristofferson" & "Cheryl Ladd" where small changes in the time line would cause temporal ripples in the future, usually these temporal ripples were minor but when "Kris Kristofferson" disappeared from the past and was taken to the future the force the temporal quake that was caused was enough to destroy the current future completely.
I am just wondering if removing all of these star fleet officers from the past to take them to the future could cause a temporal onslaught that could destroy the universe as we know it.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
^^^ this, with the exception of the Constitution. Which could mean we start out on a T1 Connie, jump throught whatever event that connects us to the Temporal Agency, then go back to TOS timeline, and level up through that era, with the advantage of "Temporal improved" replicas of TOS era ships to help our players stay on par with our Nakhul enemies, and not look conspicuous. I figure once the content is done, we jump forward to current STO timeline.
As far as I can guess.. we will still be officers of the future, aka STO today. Like temporal agents we will travel to the past, TOS era and do missions there. That is what iI can gather. I mean, I agree its a bit confusing. I wish this third expansion would be for our already existing characters and not for new characters. That way it wouldn't be so weird. JMO. I can see this temporal stuff take place as a story arc after the current one. ...

We're not starting on a Tier 1 connie. The splash page for Star Trek Online has listed a T1 ship called a pioneer utility cruiser, featuring 2 forward weapon slots and 1 aft weapon slot, just like the Constitution. That ship will be our starting ship.

If you buy one of the packs you would start with it most likely instead of the free ship.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Nah, that just gives you the ability to upgrade as soon as you're done with the tutorial.
