"Yes, thank you," Elric replied as he went over to the advanced storage dispenser and programmed it. "We may still need this ability to purge our computer systems." He then went over to the replicator and punched in a code initiating the production of empty housing cells. "Let's scout and secure the entire deck. Take out all drones here. Also need confirmation of the extent of power loss. Is it just this section of Spacedock?"

Jim replied. "Do you know how big this deck is? That'd be insane. We need to focus on our objectives. As for the power loss..."

Admiral Nat's voice came over the comms. "It's station wide, evidently, as we've lost contact with the station personnel."

    Winning.
It's what I do. It's what I just did. It's what I'm about to do again. It's being undisputed emperor of an empire that cannot be disproved as the most powerful intergalactic empire in the entire universe; I always win, and everything I've won will definitely be won again... by me. It's my signature move, and thus, it's my signature. Problem, Sonic? Yeah, I mean you, Sonic, because you're being beat up, despite your being super. You can't even hit Shadow back, can you? Nope, he's too strong for you. Of course, I'm not Shadow, I'm the Super Emerald fueled fox that's pulling the strings; trust me, the fight would only be a few frames long if I were in it personally. Oh, and here's something for all you guys thinking you can win Last Post Wins 3.0; trust me, I'll be around a long while after the sun has already consumed the Earth while I sit out with the forum servers on Titan. Yes, I mean Titan... that comparatively little moon orbiting Saturn. It's a nice little place in a version of our solar system where the sun is a lot bigger. I mean, Mars will last longer than your precious Earth, but by then, it'll be one hot planet... and I figure Saturn's moon will be about the right temperate for a super-powered warlord. Oh, and trust me, I packed a lot of rings, and I mean a lot. Trillions, in fact, so I'll never run out of rings to power my super form. Besides, if I start to run out, I can just chaos control more rings into my reach. It's quite easy, really. You should try it. Granted, you'll never have the 7 Super Emeralds that I have in my possession, nor the Master Emerald that I've got hidden away somewhere... absorbed into my body thanks to Sonic logic, but whatever. I win. Again. I'm not kidding, either. Just check Last Post Wins, and if the last post isn't mine, it soon will be. Very, very soon. You can count on it. Seriously. By the way, if you're wondering, there's a really great Super Tails sprite sheet out there... somewhere... by some guy named shadow_91. These sprites are really great. Like, really good. Quality. Just like what I like to see in a sprite sheet. Also, credit to Joe T.E., his Sonic Battle style Super Sonic sprites have a great palette for a Super Sonic being beat up by Super Shadow, who's palette is from a Super Shadow sheet of unknown origin, but it turns out they were "borrowed" from a better sheet made by a certain Domenico. Oh, and the gif is actually a custom made super version of a similar gif, of which there are only 3 or 4 copies to be found by Google, and even then, evidently of an unknown source. Yep, it's one of those things. Stuff people have made, spread around, only for it to vanish and you to be the only person who still has a copy, not even knowing where it came from... like, literally at all. Oh, and anyone notice that Shadow's little chaos snap blast thingies are red and blue now? Yeah, I changed it. Problem, fans of purple? Yeah, I know you got a problem with that one, but you can just deal with it. After all, according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly... alright, alright, I'll spare you the entire Bee Movie script, just Google it if you want. By the way, ever wonder how your characters would've ended up if they evolved in another universe? Yeah, that. Think about it. Ok, so you probably didn't bother reading up to here, but whatever, here's a surprise for you guys over at ESD (RP) who were crazy enough to read this: Emperor Nat of the mcfreakin' Terran Empire is gonna be right all along! The universe is gonna go BOOM! *Thumbs up to the insanity*
Oh, now don't tell me you want in on all this! Well, ok. Look this that Egg Pawn hanging outside your window, pointing his laser rifle at you, waiting for my next order. He's doing his part. He helps conquer the weak-minded. He roboticizes the weak-bodied. Heck, he even helps keep the useless people from causing any trouble, but you know what? Join. Find the closest Nataran Empire roboticization center near you and join the ranks, before the ranks find you. Oh, I know, you figure it must be so satisfying to know I basically rule the world now, and you know what? It is, but do you want to know the true definition of satisfaction? Well, let me tell you a little story. One day, you see a brand new event. They're giving out boxes that give old event stuff. Your dilithium is plentiful. You buy a whole lot of Phoenix packs on your main, and open them all. You get one epic token. Then, you decide, that since you have all the Breen ships and don't give a damn about the others, you exchange it for an ultra rare, and grab yourself a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and for the hell of it, a Voth Bulwark. You open both, leaving the Bulwark in your vast masses of starships as you jump into the bugship and deck it out, deck by deck, into the most awesome Jem'Hadar ship you can. You fly it. You enjoy it. Eventually, you get bored and leave, leaving the old Bulwark never flown... until later. Your main is long complete. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Their reps and doffs are hard at work, getting you stuff. You realize the potential, and head back for your dear admiral, pull the most Voth themed build you can out of thin air, and suit up in your giant ship in the shape of you know what. You head out... and cause all sorts of havoc. Enemies scream out your name as their very life is drained away by your swarms of Aceton Assimilators. They complain to the devs of your OPness when you revive yourself from death every time you die. Do you show any form of mercy? No. After all, this isn't the United Federation of Planets, this is mother frakkin' Starfleet, where you explore strange new worlds and kick butt never kicked before. Oh, and you realize that I just wrote another speech rivaling your own signature. Cool. Oh, wait, that's just the original draft, it is part of my signature now. Oh, and yes, I am aware that I have become a Canadian Regent; one day, sooner than you'd expect, we'll suddenly decide to take over the world and declare an "alliance", and I shall become it's Regent. You know, like the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in the mirror universe of our beloved Star Trek. Oh, who'll we be taking over with? I dunno, maybe [REDACTED], or maybe aliens from outer space. Guess you'll have to wait and find out, won't we? Until then, don't ask too many questions, or else my Breen allies on Titania might pick up on your -- [REDACTED BY BREEN CONFEDERACY FOR REASONS] Also, psst... keep an eye out for flying Tribbles! Also walls. Big, great walls, separating entire continents apart. Walls patrolled by Tribbles. Flying Tribbles. Flying Nukara Tribbles. Don't worry, it's not like they were on Venus with a herd of Tholians or anything, they just like the extreme heat and brutal weather like acid rain and hurricane force winds as the norm. Oh, and definitely keep your eye out on any two-tailed foxes, because if they ain't glowing, they're definitely an imposter. Possibly an Undine, we caught one of those once in my place once. Oh, and if you find a two-tailed fox that doesn't like the cold... most certainly ask him to say sorry. If he refuses, DESTROY HIM WITH A DOOMSDAY MACHINE, BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH AGAINST SUCH AN OVERPOWERED IMPOSTER!

tr;dr, I am winning last post wins 3.0. Thank you for your time.
    Oh, look, an explosion...

"Right. I forgot about the scale of this place. I'll never get used to Spacedock life." Elric began infusing the omicron dispensaries with the cells. "Halfway there."

A group of drones attempted to feed into the dark room.

    "This is ridiculous..." she said.

Elric finished and pulled out his rifle. He listened carefully for the drones and rapid-fired until they were out.

One of the Omega Operatives turned to Jim. "You said things could've been worse, didn't you?"
Jim stepped back, somewhat jokingly. "How'd you know?"
Another operative interrupted. "Alright people, we've got a job to do."
Jim sighed. "Maybe they should've installed anti-Borg devices rather than anti-Undine ones... wait. Could we modify the existing devices to repel mirror Borg back to the mirror universe?"

"A report I read from Commander Reeve said they were designed to be phased, undetectable and inaccessible. Another report I read from Captain Aeris said they were somehow tampered with remotely using Undine technology by an Undine scientist in Fluidic space," Elric recalled. "If they're anything, they're a mystery."

He attached an omicron cell to his rifle and shot a nearby wall console with a steady stream of condensed omicron energy. With the nanoprobes cleaned out of it, he approached it and came close enough that his shield engulfed it.

"Zeta, can you tap into our backup systems and get internal sensors on this deck online?" he asked.

The spider launched a cable and one of its legs into the dead console and attempted. *Click!? Chhhirrp, click, click!*

"I'll take that as a 'no'," He glanced to the side in shock. "He's saying the power loss is coming from nanoprobes infecting the Main Reactor." Elric watched as Zeta unattached himself. "It would take too long to climb down to that section."

    “The Scars of Yesterday”

“r'Llaillieu, we accept your surrender. Security teams will be beaming over shortly. Tarsi out.”

Amid the debris and scorch marks that now littered the Hepzibah’s bridge, Commander Tarsi laid down, silent, only taking a few deep breaths when she needed to. She shouldn’t have listened to Rosette about the placement of her security teams. How was she going to explain to their families that their loved ones died because of a tactical mistake? She tapped her combadge. “Captain.”

    “This is Rosette.”

“The enemy ships have surrendered, ma’am.” I hate you, Captain.

    “Understood.”

“When this is all over, we need to have a talk about...things.”

“We can talk now. I was just looking for you, Tarsi.”
Really? For what? To blame me for the mistakes you made?

Tarsi shook her head. “No ma’am, I’m still recovering.”

There was a loud sigh. “Tarsi, I don’t have time for this. We not only have prisoners in the brig, but captive ships. I need to meet with you.”

“Already dealt with the ships, Captain. I’ll beam over to discuss the terms of surrender with their CO.”

“You do that. I’ll talk to D’ren and his friends in the brig.”

“Good talk. Tarsi out.” Tarsi pulled her combadge off and flung it across the bridge.

Elsewhere, Captain Rosette returned to the brig, along her chief medical officer V’rar and two security officers. “Captain, your prisoners should have had enough time to rest. I would hope that we are not doing a full interrogation.”

Rosette shook her head. “No, that won’t be necessary. D’ren wants to help us, that’s clear, but killing off his own men? Why?”

“I believe it was to show that he had no loyalty to them, Captain. A rather illogical display, to be sure, but it got our attention.” As Rosette and V’rar arrived at the brig, the Vulcan checked her medical bag. “Are you sure you want to conduct the questioning? You are in a compromised mental state.”

Rosette nodded. “Yes. And hopefully this doesn’t go down like last ti-” She looked over at the security officers. “Like that simulation we went through.”

More officers were posted near the captives when Rosette arrived. She stood in front of D’ren, looking stern, a woman in control once more. “I hope you’ve recovered. It’s time we talked.”

Yeah, I know you got a problem with that one, but you can just deal with it. By the way, ever wonder how your characters would've ended up if they evolved in another universe? Yeah, that. Think about it. Ta’Rrok Jones ESD Half a year earlier,

A strange young man sits quietly on a steal railing staring out of the ESD, window at the shipyards. To a ship that was going through its final phase of completion. A female Andiron engineer slowly walks up and begins to speak. “The U. S. S. EL Dorado N X 9 3 5 0 1. Tactical Command Battle Cruiser. The 1st of her kind”. “Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?“ As he smirked just a little. “Not since I looked in the mirror this morning”she replied smiling .“ “Wait..Tes... is that you?”

He had hardly recognized her. Her long silver Wight hair. Was now shoulder length and slicked back with a dark shade of pink and her skin was a way darker shade of blue then he'd remembered. An her antennas, had also been folded back as well. She giggled “HEHE … WOW Ta’Rrok!! It didn’t take you that long to notice me the 1st time we meet. Like half a second and you were 6 at the time. Most boys that age would shy away” said Tesla. “Well in case you missed the Klingon nose ridges and Romulan forehead. I wasn’t exactly like most boys at that age” he chuckled.
Now turning back to the ship with a serious look. “So!You ready for this?”Ta’Rrok asked. “Bout as ready as you were when I finally cornered you in your folks hay loft” she replied. “You’re supposed to have the blood of two warrior race’s and the combined strength of a Klingon and Romulan and you were still shaking like a wet chi Wawa in the dead of winter when I got you alone… AND you were soooo cute!” she smiled.

Before another word could be spoken. A chirp on their com badges came through. Admiral Jones and Commander Tesla report to Admiral Quinn!

    Deck 65

Elric nodded. "I was thinking the same thing. If what Zeta says is right, the concentration of nanoprobes at the Main Reactor over anywhere else on the station indicates that the Borg are centralizing their technology there. There may be a faster way down into the bowels of Spacedock if we scale the vertical cargo tube in Section 8. It's down a few more corridors."

He packed the extra omicron cells in a satchel and slung it over his shoulder. Then he readied his rifle and aimed it, exiting Science Lab 23, out into the hallways.

As he passed the other labs, he found the doors to Science Lab 12 struggling to open and damaged. Curious, he kicked the opening in the door and caused it to continue its opening procedure. Inside the lab were bodies of failed assimilations. Starfleet officers and experts piled into the place like garbage. Shocked and appalled, Elric knelt down and took the pulse of one of the grey-skinned humans. "He's dead, Jim."

Jim deadpanned Elric. "Did all my existence only happen so you could make that joke?"

The other Omega Operatives all laughed.

"Let's talk," D'ren said, standing and walking toward the force field.

He noticed Aenlyn across the brig from him getting up as well, becoming antsy. D'ren caught Kidna's attention and nodded slightly. Kidna gulped and closed her eyes, taking a step back. Her chest glowed bluish purple and a blast of kinetic energy shot forth from her body and knocked Aenlyn unconscious. She then sat down in the corner, cradling her knees in fear.

"Well," said D'ren, "now we can talk. But ye're still gonna have to let down the force field..."

Kidna focused her empathic ability at Rosette to generate a calming, trusting feeling within Rosette. He won't harm you.

ESD on the way to Admiral Quinn's

Tes smiles at Ta'Rrok as they begin to remissness of days past as they walk to Admiral Quinn's. "Quite the coincidence don't ya think?"asked Tes. "What you mean?" as he raises an eye brow and glances at her."That this new home of ours. Has the same name as our old home town in Arkansas... I know it's a touchy subject...But have you remembered anything of back then? Before coming to us i mean". Ta'Rrok looked over in to her eye's..."Only broken images mostly. Ms.Troy, tryed to help me piece things together when i 1st signed up to Star fleet. But i was so young back then. She was amazed at how much i did remember."

"I remember the faces of my Mother she was a Romulan and my Father who was Klingon but not their names. I remember arriving on DS9 then shortly ESD. Heck i even remembered hearing the intercom calling for an Ensign Nat just before Lt. Tucker brought me home to his cousins farm in EL Dorado and then adopting me. They couldn't have one of their on. So they called me a blessing."

"which i half to disagree with" he paused for minute. She acted a little confused as she asked. "Why?" He replies "Couldn't a been easy putting up with a half breed like me. Wile the Klingon's and Romulans waged war in space. I was fighting the same war in side I..._Umm we better table this for a later date we're here" He takes a deep breath before going in.

"Well... it had to be done one of these days," she said.

Elric smirked, but before he could respond they heard a moaning sound from within the laid out bodies. The Captain stood up and walked over. Before him was a grey skinned human. Elric recognized him. "Professor Raven?" he said shocked.

The older man was half assimilated, and appeared nearly out of it. His lips dry, patches of technology in his temple and tubes feeding around his shoulder. Consciousness was scarce.

"It's Elric," the Captain said to him as he lifted the man's head off the ground. "Do you remember me?"

Raven groaned; the horrors he'd been through still fresh in his mind. "Just... just kill me," he said to the Borg. "Just do it. Do it!" And then he caught Elric's face. "You... What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing, Professor," Elric replied, relieved. "I thought you retired?"

The man was helped into a sitting position. "You can never keep an old treasure hunter down. I pulled favours to come here and examine an artifact I suspected was 8th century Metron. Your science officers were just making headway when... the... No!" He seemed to recede into shock. "Resistance is futile."

"Snap out of it!" Elric searched his pack for an immunosupport nanite hypo and injected Raven with it. "You're lucky you were rejected by the Mirror Borg."

After a moment, he seemed to calm down, but Elric wasn't sure if it would be enough. *Click!?* Zeta blurted in defiance.

"He's going to be fine, Zeta," Elric argued, getting the older man to his feet. "We have to take him with us and we have to keep moving."

Rosette turned to the guards. “Ensign Williams, lower the force field, and check on Commander Tarsi.”

V’rar blinked. “Are you sure you want to do that, Captain?”

    “Yes.”

As the force field came down, Rosette stepped closer to D’ren, looking over the man carefully. “I hope this suffices, D’ren. We talked about the Infamous briefly. I want to know why, exactly, I should help you.”

V’rar walked over to Kidna and kneeled down, looking at her carefully. “Hello,” she said in a straightforward tone. The Vulcan was only about 5 foot three, small for her species, and had a short black haircut accenting her pointy ears. “I can assure you that I mean no harm.” She reached out and touched the forcefield. “You are frightened.”

The Omega Operatives keep watch, but don't say much either. Jim sighs. "Well, at least we--"
One of the Omega Operatives interrupted him. "Do not say it could be worse."
Another operative spoke up. "Too late!" A pair of drones were coming down a corridor towards them; the Omegas shot them down. Then, another drone. Then another.

In the corridor, Elric pulled Raven behind the Omega Operatives with one arm and fired his rifle passed them with the other. He then turned to Raven who seemed to be saying something in a daze.

"There can't be.... They can't be here," he said to no one in particular.

Elric tried to calm him. "Don't worry, Professor. There's a medical bay on the Engineering decks. As soon as we get you down there, you'll be alright."

A few Borg suddenly came up from behind the group. Elric turned his aim and fired into the incoming drones several times.

"Marco... Intelligence, said the acquired... devices would send both Undine and Borg... He said both," Raven gritted in between his pain. "They can't be.... Impossible--"

The Captain looked at him. "What are you saying?"

"We are the Borg," Raven finished as his eyes suddenly lit up.

Elric shot a rear-attacking drone, point-blank, in its head, that had suddenly reached them. He then went back into his bag and injected Raven with another hypospray. "The Omega Ops have this, Professor. They're the best of the best."

Jim turned to Raven. "Believe me, we've seen worse."

Kidna looked at V'rar with a mixture of confusion and distrust. "I am not afraid of you, or death. This body cannot feel physical pain. And if I die, I will immediately wake up in one of the trillions of Vorta Kidna clones manufactured in the Gamma Quadrant by The Infamous Armada. I am afraid of only one man, for he is the only one who can hurt me...but today he..." She cocked her head to the side, staring listlessly across the brig. "...is my friend."

With a big warm smile on his face, D'ren extends a hand to the captain. "Make no mistake, love," said the Irishman, "I do like that ya get straight to the point, but with those warships hovering 'round yer ship out there, ye're the most protected person in the galaxy right now. The rest of the squadron won't be returning..."

    Hours Earlier

From the privacy of his own quarters on the r'Llaillieu, D'ren hailed his contact on Cardassia, Ziyal VII. "I want you to tell Garak to send a distress call to the squadron of Infamous vessels I am currently, eh, commanding..."

Ziyal, flanked by three D'ren clone bodyguards, protested, as per usual, "You're not The Infamous! D'ren 8 has a mohawk and no facial hair!"

"Damn it, Ziyal! I shaved my head and went through...I dunno, a time paradox, spend 6 months growing this epic thing. Now do as I command!"

With a sigh, the Cardassian/Bajoran halfbreed woman nodded. "Very well."

Then D'ren hailed the Tholian/Breen Alliance Against The Infamous (T/BAATI). "Take no prisoners..."

Elric dodged an energy pulse and fired antiproton bolt bursts out of his autocarbine rifle at the drones in front of the group. "You Omegas are experts at this, right??" Elric said, fearfully, as the feeling of impending Mirror Borg doubled upon them.

Several drones were taken out ahead of them by Elric, but when he turned to check the approaching group from behind, they were right at their feet. A large drone punched through Elric's personal shield and grabbed his firing wrist. Another two grabbed Professor Raven, who was already on the floor, and dragged him off into an indiscernible abyss of horror.

    "Professor!?" Elric yelled in futile.

The menacing drone, now within Elric's shield bubble, attempted to shoot tubules into Elric's throat, but Zeta intercepted them in mid-flight with his own two cables. The spider then crawled onto the drone and began working its pointy spider-appendages to deactivate its shoulder motor systems from the drone's exoskeleton. The assimilation arm limped dead and Elric force-palmed the drone in its chest, sending it out of his shield, and into another two incoming drones. Zeta leapt back onto Elric's arm, sucked in his own cables, and the Captain aimed and fired his full auto sweep mode. Rapid antiproton bolt bursts were heavily pumped out into every single close-range drone in front of him. A pile of bodies began to build before his final shot was adapted.

    Jim shouted. "They're adapted!"
The omegas all pressed a button on their rifles, remodulating them automatically, and resumed firing on the incoming Borg. Jim turned to one of the operatives. "We need to get out of here, but need a plan! Bring up a shield dome, would you?"
The operative nodded and pressed a button on his wrist gauntlet control panel, generating an orange shield dome around the group, repelling the Borg and deflecting their attacks. Jim turned to Elric and Krystal. "Where do we go now?"

Still unable to process how he lost his old teacher and friend, Elric somehow made out the question directed toward him admist all the chaos. "The large vertical cargo tube at Section 8 is just around the corner."

Jim sighed. "We've got some climbing gear, but it won't be enough for all of us, unless we share. That might be a little difficult..."
One of the operatives turned to Jim. "Would you rather a couple of us go back up and help protect everybody upstairs?"
Jim shook his head. "Borg are swarming the way there. We'll just have to make due... wait. Main power is down, right? That means the safeties on the gravity systems might be out too. Can we disable the gravity? I mean, this Omega armor does have magnetic boots, right?"
One of the Omega Operatives nodded. "Borg probably didn't think of that, either. How can we disable the gravity generators from here?"
Jim jokingly called out. "Admiral... you mind blowing something up for us...?"

In a couple moments, a small explosion rocked ESD, dealing minor damage, and taking the gravity generators offline. Stuff started floating around; the Omegas pressed a button on their control panels, activating their magnetic boots and sticking to the floor. Jim turned to Elric and Krystal. "Take a hand, and lets go."

The Borg, naturally, had magnetic feet of their own and were already ready for the group as the shield dome dissipated on it's own.
