I think I found what would be described more as a logic bug involving the new Visual Slots feature for 11.5... in that the observed behavior can occassionally negate the intended purpose of the new (and VERY AWESOME!!!) system.
Repro:
Put in Engine/Deflector/Shields A into respective slot.
Put in Variant B of same in respective Visual slot
Now, I know the logical response to the question of "How do you un-select a custom visual?" would be "Remove the equipped visual item." However, not all users tend to have the same common sense as the rest. If one follows the above steps, as of now, what will end up happening is that the Equip system thinks of it as simply another piece of equipment and simply "swaps" the items.
So, instead of your user switching the displayed visuals, they have instead switched their active piece of equipment.
