High turn rate causes chase camera to swing sharply back and forth

If I have the space camera set to Chase Camera, as soon as my ship's turn rate reaches some threshold (not pinned down yet) and I turn left or right for longer than a second or two, the camera goes into a fit. It jerks abruptly left and right about once every 2 seconds and doesn't stop until I change to a different camera mode by pressing X.

This has been happening ever since I started playing the game last November, on several different computers, characters, and ships. I'm surprised that nobody else has reported it. Am I the only one using Chase Camera mode? :)

You can usually get the camera to stop wigging out by pressing both left and right mouse buttons at the same time. It will sometimes come back, but it'll be a while at least.

No you are not the only one. I have been complaining about that exact issue for years now. How sad I have to use a keybind to represent "reset" for the camera. I have an escort that I can not use in PVP as I have this servere handicap with the camera. I have tried to build the ships attributes as not to depend on speed. With the new ships that have come out over the years players that do not have this handicap will almost always win as they have that much needed speed advantage. The second I try to add speed the camera dose what I call the "Herky Jerk" It violently yangs from left to right. Even reseting it take about 4 seconds for its little freak out episode to clear up. The answer that I get back is your typical "canned" answer. " We are looking into the issue however have not been able to reproduce it. Well I have seriouse issues with that as it is Extremly easy to reproduce and I even went as far as to post a video on You Tube. Yet after all these years the problem is no closer to getting way over due attention nor a fix than it was in 2010 when it was first reported.
