omi weapons not fitting in aft slots

I just started crafting Omni weapons to put in the aft slots. After placing the first one, the next one won't equip. I have seen builds of 3 or more omnis in aft slots. I have to keep equipping turrets until I equip the omnis. What is up with this?

They will be using 1 Borg Kinetic cutting beam, 1 ancient Omni and 1 crafted Omni, only way you can equip 3 as far as I know

With the omni arrays you cannot have more then 1 of the same type so that is probably why as the post above me states different omni arrays can be synagized.

The Omni polaron will also fit with the Omni chronometric array from the space set that you acquire from the Time and Tide mission.

The only damage types that will allow you to slot more than one are Polaron, Antiproton, and Tetryon, as those are mission rewards that you can slot with a matching damage Crafted Omni.

I THINK there's an Agony Phaser Omni as well that might work, but that one is lockbox and probably an arm and a leg on the Exchange.

The reason they're doing that is to prevent people from making entire loadouts of Omnis. Just imagine the devastation 8 matching Omnis could do on a cruiser spamming BFAW and AP Beta.

Thank you for the great comments. I do recall now that builds use Borg and Ancient as well as crafted on one build. Did I mis-understand that multiple crafted polaron, tetryon, and antiproton omnis could be equipped. I'm running AP now and only one per vessel. It's an intriguing idea to run all omnis. Is there enough Omni diversity that would allow this?

Add into that aux to batt, OSS and Surgical Strikes.

I'm also a bit confused about a single damage type being the restriction. I would assume the restriction is one crafted Omni of any type. Could I build omnis of different damage types to equip?

You could do whats called a rainbow build but people frown upon that. Comes down to not being able to get them good with modules, concentrate firepower man.

1.) Multiple energy types mixing AP, pol, TET,PhASer...you get the idea..
2.) just the Ancient Omni ..and only 1 of those too..

A Rainbow build is one that mixes damage types, such as mounting at least one of each Phaser, Disruptor, Polaron, Plasma, Tetryon, and Antiproton. Or any combination of them.

There are psudo rainbow builds as well that still use the same damage type. For example Phaser, Andorian Phaser, Bio-Molecular Phaser, Phased Biomatter, and Retro Phaser. Different colors, but same damage type.

Putting a Borg KCB in your Aft with a crafted AP Omni and the Mission Reward AP Omni does not make you a 'rainbow build,' and is a common practice. Especially if you also equip the Assimilated Module Universal console to get the 2pc Set Bonus.

If you're running an AP build and have 3 Aft Weapon Slots put 1 crafted AP Omni, The Ancient Omni from mission reward and the Borg KCB. Adding the Borg Console will also give you the 2pc Set Bonus.

The rule for Omni's appears to be 1 crafted (any damage type) + 1 mission reward (any damage type available so far). The Borg Cutting beam is not part of either group and can be mounted along with either or both.

The Omni Agony Phaser from the Incursion Lock Box is considered a crafted weapon for this limitation. I'm hoping the Nakul Lock Box will offer Omni Chronoplasmas, again counting towards the Crafted limit. I wish they'd go back and update the old lock boxes with this feature as I'd love an Omni Phased Biomatter weapon for my Narcine.

Sure, not awful but you still get a worse result for the same price. Especially once you start upgrading them in mk & quality.

Difference is actually slim to none. There are so many things that already grant Cat 1 damage boosts that many players won't see any type of real loss between a +(Type) vs +Beam. Truth be told, the real advantage to the Spire Consoles is in the +Crit Chance anyway. If someone wants to go +Beam and run rainbows, it's actually perfectly viable. Many players already have so many Cat 1 damage boosts anyway that it really doesn't make a difference anymore.

If you're not doing parsed runs and trying to squeeze every last single percent, it's really six of one, half a dozen of the other.

so no crafted + agony 360.. that sux you woulda thunk they would have 360 phaser and disruptor for the purists
