A late patch, 3:30pm going live, later than usual, which is just fine, I can plan around that. So it is 2:30 my time and I decide I will sit here and wait, watch a few YouTube videos or something. Check back at 3:30 my time, they delayed live for another hour and a half. So basically they just wasted a full hour of my time, an hour I could have done something else with. Thanks Cryptic, really appreciate that.

this stuff happens all the time. Sometimes maintenance takes longer than expected.
Just don't plan to play on Thursdays. That way, if you decide to log on and the servers are up, you will be pleasantly surprised!
If that is indeed the leader of Starfleet Dental then every terrifying question I have ever had of that fleet has been tragically answered...

Agreed. It's best to put these things in perspective, at the end of the day, it's just a game, why should you get mad?

No one forced you to spend part of your life watching YouTube instead of going outside, reading a book, or turning a rap song into a spoken-word piece.
Games like this a are a gordian knot of code, sometimes things don't go as planned.... Though I do love the fact that Starfleet Dental gets blamed for all this games problems.

My favorite was the whole BFAW debacle. "We fixed* BFAW." (BFAW doesn't crit) "We fixed it this time, for real" (BFAW doesn't proc weapon procs) "Okay, now we've got it for sure." (BFAW Doesn't apply accuracy bonuses) "Nailed it!"
1 hour for a silly entitlement claim. you sleep a full 8 hours a day and yet you do not complain about these hours, you also spend time clothing, feeding going to the shower and toilet each day and brushing teeth, washing clothes, cleaning crockery, doing things in the back yard, filing paper work with the local council or ordering stuff, watching things on tv and so on.. and here you are complaining about 1 hour of time?
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Yes, it would have had a huge negative impact on the entirety of the player base.. but it's worth it to avoid wasting a whole hour of your precious time. I'm sure you can expect a formal apology from them pretty soon. It will more then likely be the top story on the World News.
