it only looks like a pekker if you go lookin for one, otherwise its just a light strip. Now I agree that if you go lookin for it, sure it has an unfortunate resemblance to a spewing pekker. But you seem to think that you are the first/only one to ever look at this and see one. I am sure the artists went over this during design, and since they were just lookin for 'oh cool' not 'ooo pekkers' it went by...

Where were you when they released the Voth Bulwark? That thing is straight off the sex toys page of some dev's web favorites, no special lighting required:
That one was a huge 'eff ewe' to the players who were simply dying to have it, even when they just lost all their active rep rewards to come up with the system they are about to replace here very soon.
Bottom line? No one cares, and they are going to keep doing it because players will keep wanting these things.

And he's using Transport Warhead with what looks like an ordinary quantum. Or is it the one with the shield drain? Either way, probably a waste of a boff slot. Especially with Torp Spread... I'd go with Surgical strikes. Science? yeah, those look useless. Also, Evade Target lock is probably not going to help much vs Voth. He could swap EptS to that slot, and swap the Uni Ens to a tac and add APB to his build. Then replace the sci skills with something good.

I don't want that on MY ship and I sure as hell didn't put it there on purpose. I'm hoping the devs will put it on the list to adjust that lighting pattern so I don't have to fly around with a crudely drawn d!ick on the bottom of my ship. I don't think that's an unreasonable request.

Are you serious? practically every single Star Trek series (and even the films) have been choc full of sexual innuendo/references in addition to scantly clad ladies (Orion slave girls (TOS), Leeta (DS9) 7 Of 9 (VOY) T'pol (ENT), plenty in TNG too (and Picards horrible outing in those awful speedo's.)

As for requesting that dev's spend time fixing such a trivial issue (which appears to be in your mind) taking sorely needed resources away from more important issues, you are unlikely to find much sympathy here.
I strongly suggest you never watch any Star Trek, because like I said, its full of sexual overtones.

The answer is nothing is wrong with the picture, and that you have far too much time on your hands.
P.S: I think it's your mind that is in the gutter because it looks more like the outline (very appropriate for space I might add) of a rocket than anything else you have been dredging.

I'm not the only one seeing this, right? I think the art team should maybe consider lighting a few more of those shapes on the aft end of the saucer to obscure that rather unfortunate shape.
Puts a whole new meaning on the phrase "park your starship inside of earth spacedock". Now all we need is someone to make a sped up video of that ship going forward>reverse>forward>reverse x100 into a drydock or a borg gateway or something and then firing off a TS:3 of quantum torpedoes out their forward bay.
