Crashing in combat only

My game is crashing to desktop every single time I zone into a combat STF or any type combat.
I have updated drivers
Done a system restore
deleted/re-installed STO
many other things too numerous to mention, including forcing it to use Directx 9, and Windows 7 compatibility mode.
I am wide open to suggestions. PLEASE HELP!
