Schematics of the timelines stretched out on the display before him, twitching and shifting as if they were nervous creatures with lives of their own.

Check out our latest fiction piece focused on the Na'kuhl!

    "Temporal celebrity"

Now that would look good in my main character's biography...

Okay let's try to sum it up from the Fed side:
    • rattled little ensign on a training cruise
    • fastest climbing of the chain of command on record
    • peace-maker with the Klingons
    • Tal Shiar most-wanted
    • Sela's nemesis
    • friend of the Romulan Republic
    • Epohhs! Cuddly and friendly Epohhs!
    • thorn in the side of the Voth
    • plays dice with Borg cubes
    • vanquisher of the Vaadwaur
    • bffs with the Kobali and Talaxians
    • talking the Undine into taking a more passive stance (with added help from Vulcan logic of course)
    • allowing Kagran to make the biggest military mistake in the Iconian War: "The Battle of Iconia"
    • letting Kahless fall on his bat'leth (figuratively)
    • letting the temporal-incursion-genie out of the bottle with a botched-up attempt @ trying to restore Romulus
    • the respected (err... almost revered) The Other, the saviour of the Iconians
    • witness to the signing of the Temporal Accords
    • TEMPORAL CELEBRITY

    Some resumé ^^
And the list would just go on
    [...]

I’ve put in a word with Command; they’re sending us an operative with extensive experience in dealing with rogue Na’kuhl elements.

    [...]

“Sounds like we’ll want a word with Daniels on all of this, Ben,” replied Nereda. “He’s had his share of experience dealing with both Vosk and the Builders… more’s the pity, really.”

Sooo... the guy Command is sending is actually Daniels? Or, someone else, and the Pastak crew will seek help from Daniels separately?

The Daniels cometh. Well at least he's more responsible and harder to kill than Kal Dano.

So what we've learned is that Vosk and his cronies are a minority among the Na'khul. Good.

Other things of note, the Temporal Hot War is in full swing. Not Good.

Can we get 'temporal celebrity' as an in-game title? :)

Glad to point out the Na'khul messing with time are hardliners... and also things are getting unexpectedly bad. Or were getting bad. Will be getting bad.

Hey - lets us know our rampaging death leads to something good for the survivors.

Maybe Daniels dropped a line to have our characters come up? "We need someone with a very specific set of skills."

With the Sphere Builders now being introduced, I am hoping for some Xindi story additions. Yes some of their ships have been put in lock boxes, I would like to see them become more of a player in the Federation.

Daniels Is definitely coming. There is also a part that suggests that the rumor about Archer's return is more than just a rumor... 'extensive experience in dealing with rogue Na'kuhl' would be an overstatement in that case, but it could be possible.

    Or maybe it's a new character. :)

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.p3OEBPD6HU3QI.jpg

Maybe the player character is the Star Trek version of Vash the Stampede.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

When I read the line about the experienced agent I immediately thought of Daniels, but then Daniels is mentioned separately and by name just after that leading me to believe they're talking about two different characters. After reading the blog I'm betting on Daniels and another member of the Enterprise cast.

Ohhh.... Trip. In the novels wasn't his death faked? Maybe a mission where we have to go back in time and insure that he gets recruited as a temporal agent, by faking his death.
  • rahhmirahhmi Member Posts: 145 Arc User
Questioning the use of writing. For example he says "Come." ....in place of Come in. That was a Picard thing. While it's an obvious word, wouldn't it have been better to give him his own quirk to differentiate him from previous characters? "enter", "entrè", "Come in" "yes?" "Who is it?"...

Anything. Each offering their own secret believable back story which further cements this as an original character.

I'm sorry. but I got to "Come." and quit reading. This is STAR TREK ONLINE. Not Amateur Fanfic day.

hmmm, very interesting. I would like to see Trip as it would get my friend back in the game. However, it sure does feel like a huge coup with Archer. Could it really be Archer?

I'm betting more on Daniels, but it wouldn't surprise me if he borrowed a certain NX Captain who already has some knowledge of and success against Vosk's faction. Maybe he's like the Doctor and has him back aboard the Enterprise 5 minutes before he left :)

Nereda pushed a few PADDs before him and sipped her drink. “A few leads. It’s like trying to find patterns in static. Any word from our esteemed guest from the early 25th century?”

“Nothing so far,” he said with another grimace. He’d been charged with introducing a temporal celebrity to their organization and it had all fallen apart so quickly and so unexpectedly.

They should have went for the infamous guest from the 23rd Century instead. Cowboy diplomacy for the win! ;)

As far as the "And you invited a rampaging death engine from one of the most war-torn parts of the same history?" comment from up above...

I will have you know, as an Aenar and a pacifist, I take exception to that comment...

Now how about that? A 'Temporal Celebrity'! Does this mean I am contractually obligated to now appear in a sequel? Obviously those firing disruptors my direction are Na'kuhl 'paparazzi'. My temporal agent and I simply have to review my contract with Section 31!
