thats what i get whenever i try to equip the aegis set i moved over from another toon to my fed eng trill its the same for the 100% shield pen sniper and before you ask the toon in question is also level 45 the level required to use the mk 12 gear in question also the same way for that r&d eng colsole aswell all of the items in question are all mk 12 and ACCOUNT bound a pic in question to me trying to equip one of the items in question

I am having exactly the same problem. I crafted an Aegis set on another toon and swapped it to the new character. He has just acquired lvl 45 (Rear Admiral Upper Half) (Fed Ferengi) and has accepted and completed the mission at ESD to accept the promotion.

Upon trying to slot the set it warns me that once slotted I will not be able to trade the item (as normal) but then informs me I do not meet the requirements.

I have tried logging out and waiting a while so when logging back in the server sees this toon afresh but still no joy. I have searched through the rest of this sub and seen no answers and only this post informing of a problem.

Has anyone got any suggestions/fixes/workarounds??? Any help much appreciated

UPDATE: I just wanted to add I can slot other Mk XI and XII items without problem, this appears to be directly related to the Aegis set.​​

Unfortunately in order to use crafted things like the Aegis set, you have to be level 50 before you can actually use them. The item itself says that you have to be you need to be Rear Admiral Upper Half, however it should actually be reading as Vice Admiral 50. The text itself needs to be updated to indicate this or the item needs to have its level requirements lowered. I believe this was actually brought up awhile back but will do a write up anyways.

Many thanks Dark for the reply, if I had my way I would like to see it lowerd to the stated lvl45 as by the time it can be slotted at 50, the toon will have access to the rep system and able to get better gear, but either way I hope this finally gets sorted out because crafting items that take a lot of time and resources and are then useless is rather annoying!​​
