energy types and ships...

is it just me or do certain ships get bonus damage to certain energy types? ive done some testing with my maelstrom class fleet patrol escort refit using vaadwaur polaron mk xiv [with pol locaters] vs phaser mk xii [with basic phaser enhancers from exchange] and my lower ranked phasers seem to do more damage... can some1 confirm this? maybe the enemies have more pol resist than pha resists idk...

Its probably more to due with the enemy's resistances than it is with the ship you fly. Unless you got crappy mods on your Vaadwaur Polaron and you got amazing mods on your Phasers. But even then the mark difference as well as the damage consoles should mean more damage for the Polaron...

the mods are the same for both weapons... i made sure of that [crtd]x2 [crth]

Could be the resistances of the enemies you are facing, but with phasers do not discount the fact that you may well be taking your enemies shields down and doing more damage for a time as a result.

Also some Ship Sets and various consoles boost certain energy types. Maybe you have one on your ship and that is influencing the results that you are seeing.

I don't know if you're using the Vaadwaur cannons or beam emitters, but the beam ones have some firing cycle issues.
